So pretty; only for small birds though
So, first off, it’s such a pretty design, and easy to fill, and sturdy. However, the product picture is photoshopped and misleading. The birds in that picture would have to be 2 inches long! For real birds, the railing to stand on is much too small. I have seen cardinals use mine, but a blue jay just tried and— bless his heart— he kept trying over and over but he was just too heavy! He finally got a bite by hanging on the bar like doing a chinup and stretching his neck forward, but after that he gave up to pursue easier food. If you are looking to feed finches this would be great! On the upside, no crows are going to bully all the other birds at the feeder. And no squirrels have gotten to mine (and I have a ton of squirrels…) Update: OK, I’m updating to 4.5 stars (rounded to 5) — cardinals are visiting regularly, and cute little finches love it. When leaving seed out on surfaces, the finches never seemed to feel safe enough to come eat. I hung this feeder high up, from the branch of a tree. Little birds seem to feel very safe eating from it. Picture of a cardinal so you can get idea about size. Third update: going up to 5+ stars! The cardinals and finches absolutely love it, AND the bluejays have figured out how to use it! (Video attached.). The squirrels have also figured out how to get the seeds— by hanging from their back feet from the overhead branch and stretching down to grab some seeds. It’s all extremely amusing! Highly recommended, now that the wildlife has learned the ropes.

Great feeder, good quality, price, all birds and owner love it!
Location: Central Texas, second floor apartment patio. I bought this small feeder for my small birds to replace a large mesh hanging tray feeder which was not convenient to clean (hanging), Seeds wet when it rains, not sure when it needed to be refilled (leftover seeds good or bad?). It also attracted squirrels even when I raised it higher, and my 5 territorial White Winged Doves would get inside the feeder all at once, taking over the small birds’ space. I do not have a single issue/complaint about this feeder. I also have large mesh feeders/feeding stations on the ground for all birds including Blue Jays and Doves. - The quality is good. It is plastic, as expected. Easy to put together. No problems. Many birds are visiting all day long from Chickadee, Titmouse, Finches, Sparrows. Cardinals, and even one of my Doves who keeps feeding from it in an awkward fashion from time to time. - The squirrels are not interested by it. That’s a big positive for me. - It is easy to refill, easy to clean, and seeds are kept dry even with heavy rain. I bought 2 and when this one becomes old and needs replacement, I will have one ready to go right away. Happy birds Happy Buyer

Absolutely perfect in size, functionality and appearance.
I love the simplicity and ease of this feeder. I'll be honest with you though. I was not going to write a great review purely because it was smaller than I thought it looked (regardless of measurements given). However, after observing the birds at the feeder, because of the perfect size of the feeder I am now actually serving those birds that I wanted to serve and not the larger red-bellied woodpecker and other larger birds that truly tend to throw seed out to the ground while they search only for specific seeds. With this feeder and this size, I am getting my desired birds which are cardinals, blue bunting, Carolina wren, tufted titmouse, warblers, tanagers, etc. Additionally, when the larger birds have visited the feeder and throw down what they don't want, I generally end up with an abundance of squirrels who then quarrel over what's on the ground, essentially scaring away the birds that could conceivably clean up seed that is on the ground. So this feeder--and in particular its perfect size--has resolved a domino-effect of issues and I am so very happy with that.

Very Durable and Birds Love It!
Perfect addition to my backyard! It's cute, and the birds LOVE it! Every day there are cardinals, wrens, finches, robins, goldfinches, doves, and some I have yet to identify. It holds the seeds perfectly, and the little bit the birds knock out, they hop down and gobble up. We've had two severe storms with 50mph gusts, and it survived! I'll probably get a few more of these.
