This camera is wonderful! I've had it set up in our backyard since last August so it's coming up on a year of consistent use. Over a hot summer and then a very snowy New Hampshire winter the feeder has stayed in good condition. The solar panel works perfectly, haven't needed to charge it in any other way and it's never drained. The capacity of the feeder is sufficient for a week or two of birds despite very frequent visitation (over 100 events per day). Because the camera is positioned in the middle of the hopper, I can load two different types of feed half-and-half to attract a greater variety of birds. The app has also functioned well (though I do not like the new update very much) and I have been able to see every visit each day without issue. There are paid featured that provide a longer backlog and AI-based identification, but I don't really need the extra storage and identifying the birds myself is a big part of birding for me anyway, so I've been perfectly happy with the free version. Of course this is software-as-a-service so you have to know going in that things can and do change arbitrarily. Don't be too surprised when the AI-less version becomes a paid subscription, it's always just a matter of time.

I bought this bird feeder for my husband, but I couldn’t wait for him to come home to install it. So, I did myself. The installation is easy, not problem at all. The camera has a good resolution. The bird feeder itself is very sturdy. The birds love it. It took less than 5 minutes to start getting notification of birds eating from it. I noticed the cardinales were very curious. Now it comes with 2 apps because the main company asks to download a second one to get better visibility. The subscription is expensive, but it’s optional. The app allows you to download and share photos and videos for free.

We bought this just a little over a year ago and have been so happy with it. It has really upped our enjoyment of the various birds that live on and migrate through our property. The battery is still going strong. The Wi-Fi range is decent. The video quality is pretty good. It would be cool if it took some stills also, but I can a screenshot those on my phone. The only complaint I have is that the AI identification is sometimes off and doesn’t give you a good way to correct it. We are really happy with this and would love if there was a cell service option for further away from the house as well.
