Best money spent on a lamp ever!
I got this more my elderly mother who has a hard time with turning lamp knobs. I put it beside her bed so she can use it overhead to read or soft warm light for relaxing before bed. It does get very bright and it’s easy for her to just side her finer across the top to turn on/off and adjust the light brightness and warmth. She loves it. It’s very sleek and modern (doesn’t really go with her “Silent Generation” style) but she’s happy with it so that’s all that matters to me. Oh and it’s bendable so she can turn it over to use as a room filling light (which isn’t hard, it’s bright!) or bend to whatever she needs. That was a bonus. Helps her distinguish black and blue socks in her drawer next to her bed. I’d say the price wasn’t an issue with all the things this thing can do and how it made her so happy. She reads books everyday and it’s perfect for that as well, she said she now needs more books to read now she has proper reading light. I’d venture to say this would be great in a craft room. Sewing room, kids room even. Would buy another if I find a space. Great find!

UPDATE! I ADDED ONE MORE STAR! It works so well that I bought another one for my home to sit over my desk. There are many reviews here that give it one star because it's hard to put together or you can't take it apart once you have. It says in the instructions once you put the head on you can't take it off. So understand this before you put it together. I'm getting ready now to order my third one to put next to my reading chair. I like this lamp a lot and though I still think it's overpriced it is worth it. By the way, if you read the booklet you'll know how to use the controls and you won't get confused like others who have left reviews that said the light was too dim. Read the instructions! Arrived well packaged, easy to put together, works well, controls are smooth and easy to adjust in small increments. Having said all that I only give it four stars because it is overpriced. If I'm still using it in 5 years then I guess I would give it five stars. We'll see how long it lasts.

Super bright dimmable light
Super bright light,but has the option to dim it. I bought this for my Dad who is partially sighted he loves to read but finds it difficult when the daylight fades. This lamp is a very slim design which fitted beautifully behind the sofa out of the way, it has a flexible head so you can direct the light wherever you want it. It’s good quality and has a very sturdy base no chance of it falling over. It is extremely good value for money and the funtuality of it is amazing. It’s great for reading and doing craft work or sewing I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent for my art easel
I love my lamp! This was the second light source I purchased, after returning the first one that did not provide a wide cast. This one is excellent and is worth the additional cost to light up my art area. I appreciate the warm and cool tones and the ability to adjust how dim/ bright it is. It allows me to adjust to fit the best need throughout cloudy, rainy, or sunny days. I am worried about how long this will last, and will keep this review updated if anything changes.
