Attractive Decanter That Ticks All My Requirements
My wife and I drink wine 3-5 times a week, heavily weighted in the direction of reds, but we use a decanter probably 5% of the time. Some of our favorites need an hour or so to open up (I'm looking at you Volker Eisele.) If we have time (read, patience) then we'll just let it sit. If not, hello Houdini. For faster aeration, the funnel part with the little holes makes a big difference. That its fun to watch is a bonus. A decanter that could aerate more quickly was a requirement. We'll also use it when we have something with a lot of sediment, at least if we know its there. If we don't know, well, sometimes you get your fiber with your wine. The fine mesh filter, another requirement for me, works well. Pro tip: wash everything ASAP. I have the stand from another decanter (that decanter pulled a Houdini act in the last move) so after washing it goes upside-down on that and pretty much lives that way. Its a little hard to wash but all the nice looking ones are. I really like this decanter and I think you will, too.

Love it! Dont worry about drying rack
The decanter works as intended and its very nice. As for drying, I didnt like some of the comments and was worried about how i was going to dry it. My solution was to invert it into a $2 64oz glass beer stein I have (I think from Target). The stein is heavy and stable and the neck of the decanter doesnt reach all the way to the bottom while the mouth of the stein holds the base of the decanter. Plus they are both in my bar at home, so no unncessary unitaskers. There are a lot of things around the house that will accomplish the same thing - a vase maybe?

This is great! I never knew how many particulates were in my red wine. You'll be surprised. It is also fun to pour the red wine in and watch it run down the side. it filters and aerates your red wine. It is easy to clean. I will recommend that you buy a glass ball or some kind of topper to keep air/dust out. I am making a storage cover for it from my 3D printer, to keep dust out while it is shelved. It is also beautifully elegent.
