Exceeds my expectations by a mile!
After reading negative reviews about how poorly this Hydro Flask retains heat, I decided to see how long mine could maintain a hot temperature. I was pleasantly surprised to see that boiling water was still burning hot to my fingers after 42 hours, far exceeding the promised 30 hours. After throwing in several ice cubes with room temperature water, the water was still icy cold more than 48 hours later. If your Hydro Flask does not perform well, then I suggest that you may have a faulty flask….but do perform the boiling water test before asking for a replacement. This test consists of filling your flask with boiling water to just below the bottom of the flask neck and leaving it without its cap for at least 10 minutes….if the body of the flask becomes burning hot, the insulating capability is defective and you have reason to seek replacement or a refund. As far as leakage is concerned, I could not for the life of me, get the cap to screw down easily and end up level with the flask body. Instead, the cap would be slightly tilted and there was a small amount of leakage (after vigorous shaking). While drying off the flask today, I had an epiphany when I saw that inside the flask, at the bottom of the neck, there are two very small “bumps” opposite each other which happen to perfectly line up with the two notches of the bottom of the neck of the cap. With bumps and notches aligned when screwing the cap back on, I finally found the perfection which had escaped me previously…..cap screws back on easily and no more leaks. I wish that simple directions had been given by Hydro Flask on their paper label to spare me many moments of frustration. Now I can finally say, that this is a fabulous flask and would highly recommend it.

Hit christmas gift
1. It holds so much coffee. I bought for my husband to take to work in the winter when he does snow removal. Does great at keeping it hot. 2. We love the stainless steel cup. That was important in choosing the brand. The hot coffee doesn't touch plastic. The cap is silicone lined. And it is all super easy to clean. 3. The flask fits in the car cup holder. It stays sealed, no spills. 4. It's durable! He's already dropped it. Bound to happen, but for falling off an SUV car hood to cold asphalt, a scratch less than the size of a dime isn't bad. He tells me regularly how much he appreciates this gift.

Very high quality thermos
Great thermos, very well made and with great design for the lid/cup and lid itself that allows you to pour without fully opening. 10/10 for quality, size is perfect for a long day in the mountains, and it keeps things hot for days—if you put coffee with any kind of creamer in here, it’s going to stay hot far longer than your creamer will stay good to drink. Cold wise it has kept ice in my coffee for 2 days—haven’t tried longer, but I could tell it would have been fine another day or two at the least.

Glamping neccessity if you are a coffee lover
Love love love hydro flask products. I bought this one to use for hot soups and coffee for car camping. I have a little moka pot that I take with me and this makes sipping on coffee all morning a dream. You can keep the coffee hot in the flask and pour a little out in the cup. It seems very high quality and durable. I'm happy with it for the price.
