RUGGED PORTABLE, WATERPROOF, VERSATILE, LOUD UNIT WITH GOOD AUDIO
Interesting, small, durable, powerful unit with very good audio from about 100Hz to15KHz which means reasonably suprising bass performance from a very small unit. As a professional recording engineer recording mostly live classical music performances, we bought one of these from AMAZON with next day delivery, for quick home use outside of the studio. It's suprisingly versatile, waterproof, and can play quite loudly with minimal audible distortion for a long period. We suspect it uses a dual woofer system with an active oblong speaker and perhaps a mass loaded dummy driver for lower bass distortion at high volume levels. Really deep bass does exhibit some bass doubling distortion, but overall the output is clean... and did we mention it can play quite LOUD? The unit has a wide dynamic range capability from very quiet pianissimo to triple forte; quite loud enough to very much disturb your appartment neighbors! It's also versatile as it's both Bluetooth and Auxiliary Line input capable, and has the ability to power/charge other gear through it's USB-A connector. Bluetooth pairing is very easy. And with it's Bluetooth capability, it also can provide a mobile phone connection, but we don't believe it has a built-in microphone, so just pair your smartphone into into Bluetooth mode with excellent audio! And did we mention it can playback quite LOUDLY? It does play in 2 channel stereo, although the unit's size limits a wide stage playback. However, two units can be paired via Bluetooth to create a wider wireless stage, 2 unit stereo LOUD playback. We had one major concern when the unit first arrived partially charged: It's rated for a 2.0 Amp, 5 Volt charger, but upon connecting it to a 2 Amp cellphone high speed charger, the charger grew quite hot and we were concerned about a potential fire hazard or at least a burnt out charger. Charging the unit on a lower capacity or fixed current charger seemed to overcome the potential charger overheating issue and the unit reached full charge in several hours out of the box; full charge time for a depleted battery is rated at 4 hours. AND THE MANUAL FOR THE UNIT RECOMMENDS FULLY CHARGING THE UNIT ONCE EACH MONTH TO MAINTAIN BATTERY LIFE. We haven't tested how long the unit will perform on a full charge, but it seems quite capable to really deliver on well more than 10 hours playback time. Time indeed will tell how it holds up, but it does appear that early difficulties noted in the reviews have been resolved, and this "Made in China" unit is a great rugged performer for a reasonable price. So far, we'd recommend it for a quick setup audio playback system for parties, casual listening, and mobile phone speakerphone applications. We'll report back on any future issues, should they arise.

I like it...no...I love them
I tend to blow speakers within about 5 minutes of having them. I didn't blow these and it has great volume. Plays kpop and goth music great, doesn't buzz, and the bass is righteous. π€ Did I mention....I didn't blow the speakers outright. Hopefully they can survive me for a long time. I like it so much I bought another one already. It didn't take that many hours to charge and it's been playing for about an hour at full volume already....it's still 90% charged. That's more that can be said of most of the other speakers I've bought, including some super expensive name brand ones. Aaaaand, it's kitty cat approved...literally, my cat digs this little boom box, she suddenly has music zoomies! It's awesome! I hope the other one is just as great when it gets to me. UPDATE: the second one came. Charged well too and paired up nicely. I've had other speakers that were supposed to play together but were not in sync. The beat is perfectly in sync with my two speakers. I SUPER LOVE THEM. My kpop music sounds epic and my goth stuff didn't mess up my speaker at all. And I have two other speakers that are almost as tall as me and they couldn't handle my music, they buzz horribly after me. These speakers don't buzz and the screachy songs didn't hurt them, at least, not yet. I think this product is worth every penny and then some. UPDATE: it's still an AWESOME speaker. I played them for days, not straight but a lot, they do take about 3 hrs to charge but that's fine by me since they last a good while on a charge. AND I've tested the range. I can go around my whole house and the speaker doesn't freak out like ALL my other bt speakers do. I hope I have this speaker a long time. I love it to death! I might buy 2 more just to have in case mine ever die for some reason. Oh...and I dropped one the other day. It's perfectly fine. Finally, a speaker that can survive me! Thank you to the people who sold me this. UPDATE! so I've had 2 of these for some time now and....drumroll....I'm still happy. Loud and durable too. I dropped one once and the speaker didn't start to buzz or anything...I think it's just fine still. So I mega recommend this thing

Great Product For A Very Reasonable Price
I just received this speaker today, and while I have been putting it through its paces, I probably will be updating this review sometime down the line. I recently purchased a portable guitar amp from Amazon (see separate review) and while I've been happy with the amp, the built-in speaker left much to be desired. I purchased the VocBoom as a companion piece to the amp. This is a very powerful, and loud speaker that delivers everything promised. The Bluetooth paired quickly and sounded great playing YouTube music through my phone. I like the fact that it has an aux input jack utilizing the common 3.5mm plug. It is marked as a headphone input, however it works perfectly playing the mentioned guitar amp. The pair work beautifully together. A bonus feature I discovered about the VocBoom speaker is that my electric guitar plays through the aux input. The single drawback I have found so far is that you can not play through Bluetooth and the aux input jack simultaneously. When a plug is inserted into the aux jack it mutes the Bluetooth. Not sure why they did this, but being able to utilize both at the same time would have been a nice feature. I did notice that a couple of other reviewers complained about the VocBoom being 'too loud' and not having enough bottom end. Having only played the speaker in my apartment, I'm not sure about the too loud complaint. However, the bass seems more than sufficient, tight, and clean. You won't rattle windows with it, but it doesn't distort either. Also, the write-up claims 'up to 32 hours of playing time' and the large capacity battery can be 'used to power other devices'. I'll be testing battery length in the future. But I did use the VocBoom to power my guitar amp while playing both and it worked well. Another nice feature of the unit. All in all, I am very pleased with the VocBoom so far. Time will be the true test, but I highly recommend it.

Sounds way better than my much more expensive Sonos Roam 2.
The quality of this thing is far better than I expected at this price point. It's loud, clear, and has a pretty impressive bass response for a portable speaker of this size. AND IT'S WATERPROOF! You can literally toss it in a swimming pool and it will be fine, up to IPX7 standards. And as such I find it to be the perfect portable speaker for any outdoor event. It charges with USB-C. A cable is included, as well as an aux cord but those are standard cheap quality no charger brick included but not even $1000 phones and tablets include those now so don't complain about that. Just get yourself one good charging brink for multiple devices if you don't already have one. Anyway, back to the quality again, this feels decently well made. The buttons are large and easy to depress and pairing is super simple. Apparently you can link two of these speakers together which I couldn't test but seeing how well this turned out and how affordable these are I may just buy another to test that out. The battery lasts a long time. Long enough for any reasonably normal gathering or event. I had it going 5 hours no problem but it's rated to do twice that, although volume is definitely going to make that battery life vary. Overall, I think it's a solid speaker and it truly does sound much better than my portable Sonos speaker, which costed 3 times as much. I am very satisfied!
