My Little Helper
I am single and as such have to maintain my home and surroundings myself, and I like a tidy home. I don't always have time to vacuum every day, and with cats as pets I really would like to. I took this out of the box, charged it up and immediately put it to work. It was so easy to get started. I hit the power button and the Roomba started on it's way. I did not secure the dust whisk but after a few false starts realized I needed to push it until it clicked in place. I watched it find its way up and over the carpet floor from the wood floor with no issues. It seemed to strengthen in suction power on the carpet. It stopped when it bumped into furniture and redireted easily. I found if I blocked off the rooms it would do one room at a time. I pulled out the kitchen chairs and it made it's way under the table and around the chairs. It cleaned the round rug under the table with ease. I would hear it say "I am stuck" but then it got itself unstuck. I have not downloaded the app just yet as I am getting used to how it operates and cleans, and how to empty and clean and maintain it first. I found it fascinating to watch it find the way back to the dock on it's own. It speaks to you when it is ready to go home and when it is chargine. I have found one can set it to use lower electricity when charging by pressing the power button for 15 seconds. This comes with it's own brush and clip to remove hair. It is easy to empty. I am happy I now have a "helper" to assist me with my daily housework. I highly recommend this I-Robot Roomba if you would like rto kick your feet up and take a break while your home is getting vacuumed.

The iRobot Roomba 105 is pretty easy to set up for use and the app is a breeze! The app connects to your Roomba and phone via home wifi and also used voice control via Alexa, Siri, or Google (it also has a power-on button on the device. I was looking for a basic, entry-level machine to make everyday cleaning tasks and maintenance more manageable across multiple floor surfaces. I wanted a machine to pick up odd debris, small dirt and food crumbs from living room hardwood and carpet, and slate kitchen tile. The Roomba understands my layout well! The cleaning and suction on the Roomba is fantastic and the vacuum does not scratch my hardwood. While in motion, the Roomba is loud, but is quiet once docked. It navigates furniture well. I don't have pets, so I don't have any pet hairs to worry about. I'm very pleased with the Roomba's performance. I like how it works automatically at user-set times and then returns to the cradle to recharge when needed. It is a good investment for floor maintenance and daily cleaning.

The OG for a reason
I have had a roomba or robot vaccum for years. I had a Roomba when it first came out and t hen changed to the off brand versions over the years because the price was lower. One of these was on it's last legs so when I had the chance to get a new Roomba, I jumped at it. Wow, the cleaning difference between them is dramatic! Roomba does a much better and more thorough cleaning. It was a bit tricky to get used to at first (using an app, setting cleaning type, etc) but the beginning effort was so worth it. Does a great cleaning and I know the features will get easier with time.
