Easily the best built and best sounding Bluetooth speaker I have ever seen or used. It's truly impressive for what it is. Yes the speaker is a little heavy and yes you will need to buy a third party carry bag to have a shoulder strap to make it easier to bring along and be truly portable but both are worth it. Unbeatable sound quality until you step up to tower style, party box speakers from either JBL or Sony but those close significantly more, are much bigger, much heavier, and not really "portable" like they claim. The boombox 3 is unrivaled for its cost and size when it comes to size. Just do some research and look around the Internet if you don't believe me. Also don't get the boombox 4. The boombox 4 is simply louder and more bassy but this has plenty of bass and the boombox 4 is a downgrade in overall sound quality and it's noticeable. Also, if you have a DAP( digital audio player), plug It in via auxiliary cable which this speaker supports, and you'll get even better sound quality. I'm very thrilled with this speaker and almost didn't buy it considering it's high price of 600 Canadian dollars but I can honestly say that I don't regret it and I hope it holds up and I can enjoy this speaker for the next 10 or more years. If you were hesitant on buying this speaker like me, don't be. If you want the best portable Bluetooth speaker out there, this is it. Trust me Thank you JBL and I hope the boombox 5 will return to pure sound quality instead of just being the loudest and bassy-est speaker available like the boombox 4. Bring back the mid range drivers for the 5th one and make it a true upgrade to the boombox 3 because the boombox 4 is simply not.

Huge bass and volume.

This speaker is amazing! Long story, but I bought it on accident, I didn't think I'd ever be okay paying this much for a speaker, but I can't go back. I listen to music all day every day. I have a few different speakers & headphones... JBL Charge 4 JBL Vibe Beam Apple earbuds (pro & regular) Some other brands of speakers that are less notable, the list goes on... There's something lacking in each one, mostly the volume and bass quality. For working out I dance, and I like my music LOUD. This speaker is IT. It's the only (non-club/concert) speaker I've ever though, wow - that's too loud, I should turn it down. The first time I turned it on I was blown away. It's pretty big and heavy, but I guess that just comes with the huge amount of sound it produces. I feel like the battery life is okay. I really only use it in the house so I don't need it to last very long. It charges relatively fast and I haven't had any issues with connectivity. Super user friendly. It's seriously the best (home) speaker I've ever heard. I'd say it's definitely worth the price.
