Gnarly sounding headphones
These are amazing headphones. I had tried out competitor headphones and was thoroughly not impressed with their low performance sound. I had read multiple reviews on these talking about how they had muddy sounding bass tones, and I do not find that factual at all. As a matter of fact, these things have such a smart application that comes with them. It will test your hearing and then set up the headphones to give you the best sound your ears can hear and up all the different frequencies so that whatever you’re hearing range is you hear the sounds clearly and it doesn’t drown them out. They still hit with solid bass and I can clearly hear every guitar note and the snare drum as if I’m playing my own instruments. The beautiful part is my wife can stand 5 feet in front of me and nag away and I can’t hear a word she says even at low volume because of the active noise cancellation they do and they also have another setting that allows some ambient sound to be heard so if you do need to hear things around you you still can. And within the application you can increase or reduce how much is blocked out on both settings. It’s also got a talk through setting so if you are in an environment where you will be speaking back to someone it lets you hear your voice through the headphones so you aren’t yelling in a quiet office setting because someone asked you a question or you attempt to sing along with Queen horrifying your close neighbors. They will block out all outside noise if I want them to block them out then it’s beautiful blissful listening time finally happens. I can write or music play music. I can hear every tone every instrument everything I want to hear is crystal clear through them. I highly recommend these headphones over the beats Three or fours. They are not uncomfortable for me to wear. They don’t squish my head like the beats did. Which the beats lasted all of two weeks and I returned them for these because I was getting a headache from the pressure of wearing the beats. the absolute only thing that these lack is a pretty carrying case. And quite honestly whoop-de-do. I’ll take the much higher quality sound over a little carry case that I can go buy somewhere separately. they charge fast and so far I haven’t even noticed a dip in their battery after listening for an entire day. I am hooked on these headphones. And quite honestly, I am an audio junkie so if that carries any weight with any of you, I am as picky as it comes for sound and these are absolutely amazing. They make my son‘s AirPods look like something he got at Walmart for 15 bucks..

Great find at sale price
Headphones and sound are a very subjective topic. So far for me, these 770nc live have been a good experience. Great bass, good clarity in mids, and uppers. These are not audiophile, but they are very doable. Build quility is good. Metal in the slides and hinges. Nice touch, compared to a lot of all plastic on other more premium brands. Comfortable ear and head padding. Seems like longevity won't be a problem with these. During workouts they stay in place, if I have them adjusted tight enough. If not, while laying on my back, they tend to slide off somewhat. I can move them so the headband is more on my forehead so they don't slide off, or just snug them up tighter. These headphones sound really good with plenty of volume to spare. You don't have to crank them to the limit to bring all the sound out. About 40% volume is the sweet spot for me. Between my cell phone equalizer and the JBL app equalizer, these headphones are dialed in nicely. You can make several custom settings in the JBL app and save them. This is a great feature for switching to different kinds of music, podcasts etc. Just click on you favorite custom, custom 1, custom 2 etc. They seal nice over my ears, and the passive noise canceling is very good. I can mow the lawn without ANC on and the sound is deadened nicely. ANC adds even more deadening to the experience. They do not have top of the line ANC, but it is quite good. The talk through is a nice feature. The volume on the track that is playing lowers, letting the outside speach come through. You can also hear your own voice nicely in this mode to prevent shouting. If you need the track to stop playing in this mode, just tap the right ear to pause it. They do automatically pause when they are removed. If you just move one ear to pause, make it the right side. Just moving the left side off will not pause the track. Caught a good sale on these at $119. Definitely worth that price. I have a pair of Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2's coming in two days, which were also on sale at $143. Will do a comparison to determine my favorite. (Update, the skullcandy review is now active). Keep an eye on prices. They fluctuate often, you might catch a good sale. IMO, you can't go wrong with these JBL's, especially at the sale price. They are well worth it.

sub bass like Ive never experienced
Made me say wow. jbl customer for life, because as you see in reviews they do their job. I still have two old ones beat up but still work. Long battery life, perfect connection, durable. Same sound quality and everything else from day one till the end which I am not even sure what will break them, they withstand lots of abuse. I have a cheap pair 30$ that were pretty good, just a cheap plastic design that broke when they fell. They still were usable though. The sound quality was cheaper but still ok, I didnt think to get new headphones right away. These were over the head style but on your ear pressed. I also had a more expensive $300 one that was cup style more comfy but the sound wasnt much better. Its the functionality that sold me over time. I cant imagine dealing with simple issues like connection or breaking with just careful use, poor sound, buzzing and list goes on. JBL doesnt ever have that. I did some research before getting these to find I love sub bass that shakes your ears which they delivered. It made me say wow. Ok so I tried listening to all music like rock, electric dance music and pop. Its more clear and better quality still but interestingly, if it doesnt have sub bass it doesnt bring out the best of these headphones 770nc. I got it just for the sub bass though so if you are into that, its worth the hype. Its in a lot of genres of rap. It performs beyond expectation with the functionaity and durability of jbl. It really does make me say wow. I doubt that skull candy or even dr dre beats sound that good, you should really try these out.

Excellent noise cancellation, easy controls, rich sound, can be used wired or by bluetooth
I was concerned whether they would fit over my ears but they fit very comfortably. Outside sounds are minimal when you want them to be with active noise cancellation, but can be adjusted through the app depending on how much you prefer to, or need to, hear. The downloadable app has plenty of adjustments you can make to the musical or vocal (voice podcasts for exemple) sounds you want to hear. Bass, mid range and treble notes were all great (I don't claim to be a sound expert, I just know what I like). They aren't particularly heavy, but I've never had over-ear headphones before so it's hard to judge. They can get a little warm if worn too long but I imagine that's true for any of these type of headphones. They are adjustable so should be comfortable for any size head to wear. I especially appreciate that I can plug them into my computer, which saves on battery usage, then I can switch to bluetooth if I want to travel. For the features and sound I was hoping for they turned out to be perfect! I was fortunate to buy these during Cyber Monday so the cost was very reasonable. They would be great even at full price.
