A definite upgrade from my charge 5 beautiful full sound. Easy to use as pushing the power and pressing play. Bluetooth is top notch stays connected across my big house and look at this setup. Looks simple but has amazing functionality and versatility. And this is a JBL known for durability. I definitely recommend the rubberized case mostly for the style and the boombox style handle but it adds to the already outstanding durability of these speakers. Never used the strap yet but its definitely high quality and my favorite feature i saved for last. This has a removable / replaceable battery. I love that its future proof. Btw you get 30 extra watts of sound when its plugged into the supplied power cord. Thats a big sound boost when its in my bedroom or patio room... I really enjoyed my jbl charge 5 but this jbl extreme 4 is miles ahead on pure sound and bass quality. I would highly recommend this speaker to anyone wanting huge sound in a still portable package. This speaker is a decently sized speaker in between being considered huge and being considered small. In terms of sound quality it has great everything; vocals, bass, soundness, etc. It gets so loud that I have considered buying a subwoofer and pairing it with the speaker so that it sounds fuller. It does have good bass by itself but when cranking the volume up it slightly disappears. If you’re more worried about the difficulty of use don’t be, this is a simple speaker to pair up and start listening to music. Additionally the speaker itself has some standard controls like “play/pause”, “volume up”and “volume down”. In conclusion this is a great speaker but I would buy it only if it was $250-280. Bought mine for $250 and I am not disappointed, I’ve used it for the beach and pool party’s. (Have Xtreme 3 and it is also a great speaker if you find it on discount and you dont want the newest you won’t be disappointed. )
