Customer reviews

A great option for people with severe dry eye syndrome
I had LASIK surgery in 2005, and as I've gotten into my 40s, dryness had become a big problem for me. My optometrist advised that I use a heated compress every day to help keep my myobium glands (the oil glands at the base of the lashes that express a tiny amount of oil with every blink, which keeps the test later of your eyes from evaporating) working well. The problem I ran into with the mask is that, while it's weighted (send to be filled with some kind of coarse sand) and feels good when using it at first, getting the right temperature in the microwave can be tricky (to little Ave it isn't effective, too much and you can burn your eyelids) and the heat doesn't last the full 20 min I'm supposed to use it. Plus, at the end of a long day when I've relaxed before sleep, I don't want to have to get up, microwave the thing, and then come back to bed, just to have to get up in 20 min to put it away. (I tried using it during the day, but it messes with my vision for about 30 min to an hour after use, so that doesn't work for me) I can't across these masks when looking for alternatives, and they are AMAZING! I got the rose scented, and it barely smells, just a light, pleasant scent. The active ingredient starts to heat up as soon as you take it out of the package. I like to shift it around a bit to really get it mixed and activated, but it's not necessary. The ear loops are soft and flexible; pull them away from the mask to stretch them out before wearing. It's rather square, so it isn't light blocking, and you have to manipulate it to cover both eyes. I've been using this mask under the weighted one I was using, and it's perfect. It holds a gentle but intense heart for about an hour! Apply it, lay down and take a nice nap, and when you wake up, your eyes will feel better, and you can just dispose of the mask. I will definitely be purchasing other scents to try then out!

Very Mild- just enough warmth and scent.
As the title says, I was concerned that these may make me nauseous or get too warm. Instead these are my favorite go-to for a really great nap or just to drift asleep peacefully. They’re especially comforting and relaxing to use during travel or after a lack of sleep or lots of eye strain. They work similarly to hot hands, which I’ve had get WAY too warm in the past, especially if they had been on my eyes?? It wasn’t a concern with the masks at all. The breathability of them regulates the temperature well and disperses the light scent just enough to feel like you’re being pampered. The scent also doesn’t seem entirely natural (I’m not sure?), but still doesn’t at all irritate my skin or give me a headache in any way. It’s in no way “offensive” or overwhelming, in my experience. Some other concerns I had that didn’t come to fruition, for me: - I was concerned that the ear loops would be uncomfortable or not work well. They work fantastically, and feel way less constricting than any given COVID mask. They’re made out of a strong but very soft, thin, stretchy material. Barely feel it at all. -I was also concerned these wouldn’t actually block light very well. They aren’t the BEST eye masks I’ve had for that specifically, but they’re pretty good for single use. They flex pretty well to fit to your face and the warming contents help fill the gaps around my eyes.

Very convenient & work great
At first I was not sure if I liked these eye masks, as they didn't seem to get warm enough the first time. I've compared them to another eye mask I own, and looked up the temperature they should safely be, and they DO get warm enough. You wouldn't want them so warm that they're unsafe for eyes. They're very convenient in that they're already prepackaged and you can just grab one to use without having to heat it up, like the reusable eye masks I had been using, which are always hard to get the to the temp (warm enough, but not unsafely hot). The reusable masks also need to be cleaned after every use (or use some type of barrier sheet), but these are so much more convenient and you can just pull out a fresh, clean mask each time. They seem a little flimsy, but if they're disposable, you wouldn't want to spend more on a more durable item. They work fine for a single use, and stayed on my face well. Very relaxing on the eyes, and they say that heated eye masks are supposed to help with clogged eye glands and blepharitis. I tried the unscented because I didn't want any type of fragrance to bother my sensitive eyes.

They work and are awesome
I was not sure how to use these. You just take them out of the package and put over your eyes. There is little loops for your ears. I did not know how they would heat up, but they do. They are wonderful. Good for when you're tired, have a headache or just want to relax. I love them. I would reccommend them to everyone --they are that good!! Price was good also. They come in 3 scents-unscented, lavendar, and chamomile.
