Outstanding at this price point

I wanted to wait to review these until I'd had them for a few weeks and given them a good test drive. They're fantastic. The only differences from a really expensive pair are the depth of the noise cancelling and to a certain extent, the range of pitches available. I had a pair of Sony WF-1000XM4s that were affected by the battery life problems many people had. As I also have a proper pair of over ear cans for proper listening, I mainly only used these for working out and public transport. I couldn't bring myself to buy the very spendy new Sony version, especially as I no longer trusted their batteries or customer service. I decided to give these a try instead - at £30 on an offer I didn't have much to lose. They are absolutely fantastic little buds. I actually think I prefer the JLab app and controls over the Sony app. - The sound quality is great and they're plenty loud enough. My only complaint is that they always seem to start up on full volume (but that's probably a setting I haven't found!!) - The buds themselves are smaller than the Sony ones and fit better in my small ears - so they're more comfortable to wear and feel much more secure. - The microphones seem to work well enough - people can hear me clearly on phone calls. - I mostly listen to classical music and the range, while unsurprisingly not in the outstanding class at this price, is plenty good enough for casual listening. - Noise cancelling was where I had doubts before I bought them. One of my main uses for earbuds is train travel. I didn't need to worry. While they are not as perfectly isolating as the Sonys were (when they worked), the noise cancelling does enough of a job to insulate me from a tired, grizzly baby on one journey, and people who don't understand the quiet carriage signs on another. Sounds and conversations were not completely obliterated, but damped enough not to interrupt my listening. The Be Aware mode is clever as it seems to allow important sounds through while still dampening repetitive noise (like the hum of the tube). - Battery life seems to be very long - I don't use them all day, but I've used them for several hours commuting and only charged the case once. On that, it's worth noting that the cable is integrated into the case. This is absolutely fine for me - I have a tower extension cable on my desk with a USB-C socket on the top, so I just pop the case in there, but might be a consideration if you don't already have that set up. - They couldn't be simpler to set up - download the app, open the case, read the quick start instructions, pair to your phone and off you go. The app is well designed and gives you all the options you need. In summary, at this price, I highly recommend them, especially if you'll mainly use them as an extra. I could have a pair in every handbag and still be quids in compared with a new pair of Sonys. Give them a go.

Let me start off my saying these are INCREDIBLE ear buds for an INCREDIBLY affordable price. For years, I'd been using my original everyday raycons for sleeping every night. I was gifted a second pair at Christmas that did NOT work and their customer service and policies are terrible. Years later I was gifted their fitness earbuds-- they worked! and were good for working out, waiting for dance classes to end, but NOT for sleeping (awkward fit, annoying "buttons", loud beeping when battery low). Eventually my originals started to die, the left ear being nearly mute, so I bought another set when they advertised their revised original everyday earbuds. They arrived un-chargeable and customer service was terrible again. So I've sworn off that brand and have been searching for an alternative. I'm very picky! The J-Labs were cute and my friends recommended them for affordability, functionality, and cuteness. They are incredible quality and I would argue they are more crisp and better at noise cancellation than Raycons. You can buy two or three of these for the price of one Raycon. Pros: Wide array of colour options. Easy to tell if it is charging or pairing because the lights are VERY visible. Crisp audio. Good noise cancellation. They paired easily to my device. Affordable!! Cons: The charging case has a male usb and I had to buy a f/f converter so I could use it. Has a little less battery run time for overnight use, which for me is a huge deal because I sleep with earbuds in every single night. The speaking voice ("POWER ON" etc) is quite loud and I suspect would be very disruptive if the buds were still on during sleep and the batteries were almost out. I haven't had the chance to hear it yet though (will update review when necessary) because unfortunately these earbuds are TOO LOUD for sleep. The lowest possible volume is louder than the Raycons at their 30% volume. (I think this will be a positive for daytime use). The volume "buttons" are fine but I definitely have muscle memory and preference for my other earbuds (the Everydays have great system and buttons, the Fitness have terrible ones). I'll just adapt though! All in all, I think 90% of people would LOVE these headphones! I will certainly be enjoying them for daily use out of the house. I definitely prefer a button that "clicks" instead of touch style but it's not enough to go against all the positives. My search for overnight earbuds continues but I hope you'll give these a try if you've been thinking about them!

Dollar for dollar, way better than JBL Vibe Buds

I bought these to replace a pair of JBL Vibe Buds and have been really impressed by a bunch of small but significant differences! First of all, ease of connection—these little babies were ready, willing, and eager to pair with both my laptop and my phone right out of the gate. Zero friction, zero connection stoppage, no fussing around with apps to download and configure. THIS is how Bluetooth tech is supposed to work, people!! THIS is the 21st century vision I was promised!! Secondly, the case design gets an A+ from me too—I never understood why the JBL case was open at the top. It got cruddy and dusty in there pretty much immediately, and having to keep track of yet another six-inch charging cable that isn’t compatible with anything else I have to charge was a pain. The Jlab case is charmingly compact, but pleasingly heavy, with a sturdy hinge on the lid and a decisive *snap* when it closes. Best of all, the charging cable is built right in, and keeps the case handy when I’m charging it via my laptop. Battery life has been great so far, and the little dickens even tell you when they’re getting thirsty. The fit is comfortable and the sound quality has been great for my purposes (hours of zoom calls and the occasional podcast or voice call—you’ll probably want something higher-end if you’re an audiophile, though). Bonus points for all the cute colors they come in, too. All told, great value for the money and a vast improvement on a similarly-priced offering from their competitors!

Long-Term Reliable Wireless Earbuds with Strong Battery Life and Daily Comfort

TL;DR: Reliable daily earbuds — stable connection, comfortable fit (multiple tips), and solid long-term battery life after heavy use. Grab a pair for you and others too. I’ve used these daily for almost 18 months, typically 6–8 hours a day, often running a single earbud at a time while using a separate headset in the other ear. Connectivity has been stable throughout, with no real issues in pairing or dropouts during normal use. Range is about 20 ft from the source. Fit is comfortable for long sessions, and the included multiple ear tip sizes help dial in a secure fit depending on ear shape. Battery life has held up surprisingly well over time. Even after heavy daily use, I still get a full day of use across the pair depending on how they’re cycled, which makes them reliable for work and long listening sessions. They are also IP55-rated, meaning sweat and light water resistance is supported for gym use and rain exposure, but they are not intended for swimming or full water immersion. Overall, this is my second pair of JLab earbuds personally, and I’ve also bought pairs ( 4 of them now ) for family members who’ve had similar positive long-term results. They’ve been a consistent, low-maintenance option that just keeps working.
