I have over 30 Joola paddles now, and this is the best Joola combo pack that I've seen so far. The way this works out, typically, is it is the same as getting two paddles and then the backpack and balls are thrown in. Before selecting this one, there's another color choice, "cosmic", with a pink and purple paddle, which you might compare. Then the Heat Vision is also available in many other colors outside of this set as a single paddle. They have several backpack choices, but not with these specific paddles. This one is the best backpack choice that I've seen. It holds both paddles, includes four balls, and has Joola on the outside. They do make other, more involved pickleball backpacks that hold shoes and have more storage, but they are not Joola. This set is better because it includes better paddles in the set, which are Perseus Heat Vision, 16mm. You can select sets with lesser paddles that are more budget-friendly if these are out of reach. This features Joola's SK Flim to reduce vibration and unwanted feedback. Heat Vision also incorporates thermoforming from the paddle’s handle through the neck, adding stability and flexibility. This set is the Perseus paddle configuration, which is my favorite of the 6 + designs out there. This paddle is carbon fiber and the 5.5 grip. This is, of course, nowhere near the paddle quality level of the new Pro V series. Width: 7.5 in, Length: 16.5, Thickness 16mm, Grip Circumference: 4.25 in, Grip Length 5.5, and weight 7.8 oz. Perseus shape is an elongated shape with a square-off top to raise and expand the sweet spot. It's built for added power, extended reach, and faster swing speed. Before selecting the Perseus shape, Heat Vision is also available in Hyperion and Scorpeus shapes. As they continually add new versions and shapes, it becomes more confusing as to which to pick. Make sure to register your paddle for the warranty ASAP. You can't go wrong with Joola, and the higher level you go, the better the paddles, typically.

A Really Solid Intermediate Pickleball Set That Feels More Premium Than Most Bundles

I play pickleball several times a week and have gone through a pretty wide range of paddles at this point, from inexpensive beginner paddles all the way up to higher-end competitive models. I’d put myself somewhere in the intermediate range pushing toward advanced play, so I’ve gotten pretty picky about paddle feel and performance. This set is honestly a nice middle ground between beginner gear and more serious paddles. Compared to true entry-level paddles, these have noticeably more pop and responsiveness. You can still tell they lean toward control and forgiveness, but they don’t feel dead or overly soft when you speed things up. There’s enough power here for intermediate players to grow into without the paddle becoming difficult to manage. They’re still not on the same level as JOOLA’s more advanced Pro IV, Pro V or Agassi paddles in terms of raw performance, but that’s expected considering the price difference. For casual players and improving intermediates though, these feel like a really good fit. The overall quality is very good too. The paddles feel solid, well balanced, and nicely finished. I also like that this set feels more complete than a lot of pickleball bundles. The bag is actually pretty decent quality and doesn’t feel like an afterthought. The built-in fence hook is especially appreciated during outdoor open play sessions since you can hang it easily instead of leaving it on the ground. The included balls are a nice addition too and make it easy to grab the set and start playing immediately. As for the colorway, the Galaxy version looks good in person, though personally I think the Cosmic version from this series looks a little cooler. Totally subjective though. Overall, this is a really solid paddle set for newer players or intermediate players who want something nicer than a cheap starter bundle without jumping straight into expensive tournament-level paddles.

Unboxing: 5/5 Love the branded box. Very giftable. Has decals of the product on it. Looks: 5/5 The best looking combination of bag and paddles in one of these sets. Love the design and color of the paddles. And I love the tiny branding on the bag, as well as the tougher look. Quality / Durability: 5/5 Great quality to everything. Genuinely a great set all around. Even the mesh side pockets feel super durable. Function: 5/5 Much more than you can ever imagine. The bag has 3 main compartments. One exterior pocket for two paddles, and two interior zippered ones. One has a clip for your keys and they have dividers inside. There’s also a small pocket on the strap. And most important, it’s super compact and fantastic. The bag surprisingly impressed me. Not only that, the paddles are very competent. They work great for beginners. You will feel a little more vibration than the much more expensive paddle though. Overall, I really recommend this set - I couldn’t be happier. Value (for the listed price): 5/5 Overall: 5/5

Best starter pack for getting into pickleball

I wanted to dip my toes into pickleball without dropping serious cash on gear I might not stick with. These reviews kept popping up as the go-to starter set, so I took the plunge. Glad I did cause they were right. The paddles are genuinely impressive for a beginner pack. They feel great in your hand, with solid weight and balance that make the game actually enjoyable instead of frustrating. The quality is way better than I expected from a bundle at this price point. This isn't flimsy gear that'll have you hunting for replacements after a few weeks. The carrier bag is solid too. It's got actual structure and holds everything together well, not some cheap nylon sack that falls apart. And they threw in balls to get you playing right away, which is exactly what you need when you're starting out. No extra shopping required. If you're on the fence about pickleball and want to test it out with quality equipment that won't let you down, this is your set. Highly recommended.
