Additionally, on the back of the checkers game board is a tic-tac-toe game. It is lightweight and easy to carry, so I will be taking it to a park this week. This would make a better gift than any electronic gadget or toy, because playing checkers creates an opportunity for people to interact and be social rather than being isolated and communicating indirectly through a computer screen. It stores easily and does not take up much space. While it sells at among the lowest-priced checkers game sets, the quality is great. I would recommend this checkers game to other people.

I was concerned when the box was only half an inch deep. BUT, the board is made of heavy material, with only one fold in the middle, making it very sturdy, and the pieces are of good quality. The greatest part... it takes up such a small amount of shelf space! I ordered a chess game from a different company, and it came in a smaller square box with a board with two folds, in a box that was two inches deep. Definitely prefer the fold-in-half board.
