A Terrific Smart Feeder With Great Video Quality and Thoughtful Features
This is my second Beako Smart Bird Feeder, and the newer Kiwibit version is a definite upgrade—especially with the solar panel built right into the roof. My yard is very shady, so getting consistent sunlight on any solar device can be tricky, but the removable, rechargeable battery makes all the difference. Even on cloudy stretches, I can pop the battery out, recharge it, and keep everything running smoothly. The 4K video quality is outstanding. The camera captures birds in beautiful detail, and the companion app does a great job tracking which species visited and how often. It also alerts me when the battery is getting low so I never miss those crucial feeder moments. I also appreciate being able to set a “sleep time,” which helps conserve power overnight while still letting the feeder wake up exactly when I want it to. The night vision feature is another standout. Cardinals and other dawn-and-dusk visitors show up beautifully in low light—but you’ll also catch some *unexpected* guests. Even though we keep our feeder on a pole with a baffle and away from trees or structures to minimize nighttime raids, the camera has still caught the occasional deer, raccoon, or other critter sneaking a look. Those surprise visits are honestly hilarious to watch back. As someone who loves posting bird videos on social media, being able to download and save clips so easily is a huge plus. The dual-chamber seed container is another thoughtful feature—it's removable for quick filling, and having two compartments lets me offer different foods to attract a wider variety of species. Honestly, I had no idea how many birds actually came to my yard until I started using this feeder. Now I can check in from anywhere using the app, even during peak feeding times when I’d normally miss all the action. Fair warning: this hobby is addictive! A couple of additional features worth noting: the feeder can trigger an alarm for nuisance animals like squirrels, and the camera’s cooldown between motion events is very short—about 10 seconds. With the premium subscription, individual video clips can run up to 3 minutes. Anyone who’s watched a mourning dove settle in for a long, leisurely meal knows how useful that extra time can be! A Fun and Surprisingly Amazing Addition for the Whole Family!
My family and I have been absolutely loving this bird feeder! The quality is impressive, and the picture/video clarity is much better than we expected. The solar charging works excellently, and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. One of our favorite features is the bird identification feature. It’s been so fun learning about all the different species visiting our yard. We’ve already spotted birds we never even knew were in our area! My boys get so excited every time we get a new visitor notification. This is something we never thought we needed, but it has quickly become such a fun and enjoyable part of our family’s day. Highly recommend for anyone who loves nature, birds, or just wants something unique and entertaining for the family!

Great feeder and crystal clear video
We’ve had this set up in the backyard for a bit now, and the video quality is absolutely top-tier. The 4K camera catches every tiny detail, and the wide angle is great. It was easy to set up on a pole, and the solar roof has kept it powered up without any issues so far. It holds a generous amount of seed in the two chambers and looks great on a yard pole. It has drawn a ton of attention—unfortunately, a lot of that attention is coming from the local squirrels who treat the front perch like their personal lounge. I attached a screenshot from one of my alerts to show just how close up the camera gets. It's highly entertaining, highly functional, and well worth the price. Will wait for the birds to coming to the pictures :)

It’s like having nature in our living room!
So I got my mom a Kiwibit solar bird feeder for Mother’s Day and she has really enjoyed it! What we do is have Alexa play it over our TV’s and mom can watch the birds from bed. Also in addition to the fantastic quality video and great design and construction of the product for ease of use, what’s fun is when the birdfeeder camera is played on the TV you can hear all of the bird song in the back yard over the speakers! It’s fantastic! Drinking coffee to bird song in the living room! Great product! Great service too from the company!
