Water temperature is the key!
I bought this as a present for my friend who loves tea. I want her to try something different and this is what I found. My friend tried this with water from a dispenser and the flower didn’t bloom. She noticed the water temperature should be higher and tried one more time with hotter water and then she got fully bloomed tea! Absolutely interesting and helps her relaxation!

I'm a huge tea lover and wanted to try something new when this product came up. My go to is loose leaf tea but I'm really digging the tea sticks. I like the glass tubes but you do have to be careful because they break very easily.
