I was wary about how well this works as a clipboard, but having it in my hands it feels pretty rigid for writing on my lap. This rigidity also keeps my papers secure, and I love how deep and tight the pockets are. The folders I'm used to have reallt shallow pockets that are so flimsy that grabbing it from the wrong corner results in your paper flying away. But with this folder, I can comfortably fit scantrons in it without worry.

Beware very few pages in the book, I didn't realize, but it ended up being perfect for my class because the teacher never said anything relevant to write down. The pages don't rip or anything and the barcode or label stickers are easy to peel off to have a clean look! I love this notebook and may purchase again. I got the matching folder as well
