The reason is because of everything it offers. - Metal zipper, thick - double zipper, both sides - zipper contour for finger grip - roomy front pocket, easy to access - soft furry inside - attached handle strap, ease of carrying - durable cloth material, thick and durable (not neoprene) - good fit for laptop, attractive design None of the others I ordered offered all these things, and for $10. Im happy about my purchase.

I needed a good padding laptop sleeve for my 14" laptop. After going through list of items I came to this one. For the cost, it's worth it. Does it protect? The side paddings is very good all around. The only issue I found is the strap on the side. It's permanently attached. Well see how long the strap lasts and wish it was more of a clip on so you can attach and detach it anytime you want. Other then that, its a study sleeve with simple design.
