Online photos sort of project a larger board and are not actual size. Look up the dimensions and compare them to where this board may be used. Fairly high quality wood without obvious digs or fills. Risers consist of two extra pieces of wood likely constructed from the handle cutouts. For us, this has been one of those produces where what-you-see is actually what-you-get. The board looks very nice and the photos are accurate. A little cutting board oil on this guy goes a long way. It is solid, but not so heavy that it is cumbersome. The posted dimensions are accurate, at least for the board I received. As others have noted, the oval pieces are clearly not cut from the same board, but since they are just used as a base, it is of no moment to us at all. The price (~$50 at the time of this review) is fair, but not a steal.
