Best pot/pan/casserole dish and more in my kitchen!
I cook a lot and this is by far the most versatile and now, the most used pot/pan in my kitchen. It’s a skillet/frying pan that browns food well, a deep skillet, a sauce pot, a soup pot, a casserole dish, and a stove-to-oven pan. So versatile! The size is great for 4-6 servings, depending on what you’re cooking. I bought the licorice colour and it’s a matte black, but with enough sheen not to be boring. Definitely pretty enough to use as a serving dish. I’ve been using it so often, I keep it on the stove since it looks so nice. This is my first Le Creuset and I am very impressed. Heats well, easy to clean, and this size is easy to handle. Even fits in my Breville counter oven. I have a 5 quart inexpensive Chefmate Dutch oven and wanted the 5.5 quart Le Creuset Dutch Oven, but thought it silly since mine cooks fine. But having used this, I see such better quality, that it’s back on my wishlist now. That said, I’d still want this 3.5 quart size for its versatility and easy handling. I can see both getting a lot of use.

What’s not to love?
It’s a Le Creuset (made by hand, in France, life time guarantee, with embossed serial number). Williams Sonoma sells this one for $320.00. Amazon had / has it on sale for $179.00. Buying it was a no brainier. (The rim on the first one they sent had a little chip. I returned it to Kohl’s on Saturday morning. The replacement arrived Sunday afternoon (USPS).) The best quality of all enamel coated cast iron pots; conducts heat really well, making it a pleasure to cook with; cleans easily; beautiful to look at (bought it in original, signature “flame” color). If I cooked more frequently (and could afford it), I’d buy the whole line in every size (in flame).

Beautiful color, perfect for braising and curries
I have a few pieces in this color and absolutely love it. I have the 12 inch skillet which after several uses and seasonings in the oven, it definitely has some discoloration on the outside, but I just think it's well-loved. I bought this initially to bake sourdough bread, but decided against it as I have another larger Le Crueset and some in my sourdough baking group have said that you could ruin the enamel. So I pivoted and use this when I'm making smaller dishes and don't want to haul out my larger Le Crueset. I love how easy it is to clean if there are stains (baking soda paste).

A sturdy beautiful pot
This strong Sauteuse Oven gets the job done. The color really pops and is so beautiful to look at. Everything cooks well and quick in it as it holds the heat. It is a bit on the heavy size when compared to its size. It is not the biggest pot by any means, but handles all the food I have put in it over the years. It is also very clean, still - no stains, nothing stock on it because it is very easy to clean. This pot will last me a decade or more and I hope to buy more in its line because of how well it has done in my home.
