Leaf Life Bamboo Tea Tumbler Review
The Leaf Life company gets 5 stars for its excellent customer service. The first bamboo tumbler I received from Amazon leaked from the lid and did not retain its heat at all. After one hour it was barely luke warm. Rather than going through the Amazon return/exchange process, I instead tried directly contacting Leaf Life. They responded promptly and sent me a new tumbler. The replacement works perfectly for me, and I am completely satisfied. I like to brew loose herbal teas for an extended time so they will be nice and strong, yet still hot when I’m ready to drink them. After 5 hours in this tumbler, my tea is the perfect temperature for me, and after 8 hours it is still comfortably warm. In the past, I’ve used Zojirushi thermoses, which are still scalding hot after 8 hours. As a result, I have to pour my tea into a separate cup to drink. Not so with the Leaf Life - it’s the perfect temperature to drink directly from the tumbler when I’m ready. I also love the fact that the strainer and the inside of the mug are stainless steel. Though superior in heat retention, the Zojirushi tea infuser tumblers have a non-stick interior and a partially plastic tea strainer. I much prefer stainless steel, which was my primary reason for choosing the Leaf Life tumbler. The straining device itself works great - I love that you can either let the leaves float loose in the water for a long term brew, or put them inside the basket for a short term brew. The tumbler’s bamboo exterior is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. If I could suggest any improvements to the Leaf Life tumbler, it would be to make the lid more sturdy, which would increase its insulation, and to include a second lid (or offer it separately as an accessory), which would have a travel friendly flip top. It would be nice to have both lid options. Overall, I am very pleased with my new Leaf Life Bamboo Tea Tumbler and use it several times each day.

I’m loving my tumbler and I would highly recommend this. Very special and great quality..
I have been using the LeafLife Tumbler for awhile now and liked it. Before buying, I’ve read a few bad reviews talking about the LeafLife Tumblr having a metallic smell. As someone working in the stainless-steel industry, I feel the need to speak up for them. It is PERFECTLY NORMAL that S18/8 (#304) stainless steel would have some smell at the beginning. Although it might seem harmful drinking out of something like that, it is really not. In fact, all kitchen stainless steel wares have this. Here’s the fastest way to clean and rid your tumbler or any other stainless steel things of this odor. 1. Fill bottle with water and vinegar and let it sit overnight 2. Pour half liquid away and put a few tablespoons of baking soda into the tumbler. 3. DO NOT SHAKE, just do a tornado slowly. 4. Pour away and use a bottle brush or toothbrush to scrub. Using a stainless steel bottle is in fact the cleanest and safest. I’ve been using stainless steel bottles for the longest time, I’ve tried Klean Kanteen, Hydroflask, Yeti and they were all great. LeafLife Tumbler is not that much different only that it stands out because of the super unique bamboo coat. I actually accidentally dropped it and it cracked on the bottom (picture shown) – from the way it cracked, it’s definitely real bamboo. My heart broke a little but I’m still using it. Insulation properties are comparable to Thermos. However, keeping hot beverages hot for up to 12 hours may be exaggerating. For me, it’s around 6 to 8 hours which is already very impressive. I also noticed it is a little on the heavier side so if weight is a concern for you, it might be best to skip this. I’m loving my tumbler and I would highly recommend this. Fantastic, they listened to customers and improved the product.
So I read the reviews before buying and noticed many are kind of old so I thought I would address some of these and see if they were corrected by the company. 1. There were complaints of a strong chemical smell but the issue seems to have been resolved. I smelled it before washing and nothing, no smell. 2. There were complaints about plastic being exposed on the inside to hot tea. I see no plastic that would come in direct contact with hot beverages. There is some plastic visible but it doesn’t touch the tea I included a photo. 3. Some reviews experienced leaking, I did not. To brew this tea I turn it upside down and leave, so I can attest they’ve fixed that as well. 4. That it arrived broken or the lid fell apart. Mine did not arrive broken and did include a lifetime warranty. The kid has not broken but if it does I will update this review. I bought this and absolutely love it. It keeps tea fresh and hot for hours. I use this at home because my son would accidentally spill it, I also enjoy hot tea on the go. I have tried using tea bags, loose leaf and tea baths with strings. They all work well my favorite is high quality loose leaf which is a sustainable choice. This container keeps tea piping hot for hours, so that benefit doesn’t work against me I put in enough tea to brew 16 ounces but only about 1/3 to 1/2 of the water then brew it upside down open it, add cool water to make it drinkable.

Just what I was looking for
I looked at several tumblers with tea strainers and saw a similar one that was more expensive. This one is perfect and cheaper. The tea strainer has two filter parts so you can store the tea leaves in the strainer when they’re joined and remove them with the little handle when it’s steeped, or put in loose leaves or a bag with just the top part of the strainer to steep for longer. I forgot about my tea all morning and it was still hot hours later in the afternoon. The wooden design is smooth to the touch and the rubber sole makes it not clang when you set it down. It is easy to take apart and clean. Even the little handle on the strainer has a duvet to make it easier to push snap the strainer into place. My only small complaint is that the rubber insulation ring inside the cap suctions to the bottle opening and sometimes it kinda comes off when you open the bottle. So the ring comes off a little easily. But it means it’s easier to clean under the rubber ring, and the ring never falls off entirely, and Ive had bottles you can never clean there so it’s not really a problem.
