It’s a professional size notebook carrier with the left side that holds loose papers or envelopes. Below, on the left, there are two business card holders. One for your card, one for cards you receive. There is also a zipper pocket, great for cash, your parking ticket if you are in a garage, DL, passport, hotel room key card, credit card, you name it. Heck, I can even put a tube of lipstick in there! All set! Although I like having my purse. But, just saying, if you are a man, let’s say chapstick? You got it! There are two pen holders in the middle, or a pen/pencil/marker. The leather is nice. It’s not some glossy shinny type, rather a quality soft professional look. Nothing looks uglier than a shiny cheap portfolio that looks like plastic. This does not. I have a small black leather notebook too, that I carry with it, to take notes during a quick call. Not a call where I need a whole sheet of paper. Works well with it as it’s a nice black leather, same finish. Great for a trade show or appointments, meetings, and it just holds things you need to have on hand quickly. So I walk around with that, my little notebook, and my nice black purse doesn’t have a bunch of papers in it or pens sticking out of it so I don’t look like an idiot walking down the street to an appointment. My purse is tightly secured so nobody is getting into it because I don’t have junk sticking out of it. It’s all locked up, sealed up tight, nothing is getting wet in rain, blown away in wind, and off I go! The snap on the side, it closes tightly too. It is leather, and it’s a pull tab, so it seals it shut, and nothing falls out of the pockets. If the inside was plastic, and you were in humidity, ahhh good luck! Leather lasts in humidity, rain, snow, sunshine, so all weather types, all year. Buy it! You will have a big smile!

Comfortable
As far as I can tell, it's real leather. It is a good size, and rests easily on my legs while writing. I use it to take notes while reading books, and it works well for that. The only ding is that the pen/pencil holder in the middle is a little big, so if you use pencils, as I do, you'll find they drop out easily.

Beautiful binder and my husband loves it!
The binder is beautiful! My husband loves it. I am going to watch the snap on it though bc it seems a little flimsy and like it may pull through the leather at some point. Still giving it 5 stars tho bc it’s so pretty and just as soft and roomy as I had hoped.
