The Best Reading Lamp I Have Ever Used, By Far
I rarely write reviews, and always feel guilty about not doing so because I've bought lots of things on Amazon that I love, and they deserve to be reviewed. But I place so many orders, it would be impossible to review everything and still have time to eat and sleep. The fact that I am making an exception this time should tell you just how impressed I am with this lamp. I've searched for the perfect reading lamp for years, probably bought at least a dozen, some okay, some a little better than okay, but none of them giving me as much light as I want. THIS lamp gives light, and can be arranged so that the light is coming in broad swaths from 2 directions, which makes all the difference--no shadows. It's astonishing, and perfect in every way. Assembly took seconds, placement behind my chair and arranging the lamp bars a few seconds more, and then I was reading. I tested it with a book that has tiny print and I could read it easily. No squinting, no bending goosenecks over and over and it still not working . . . What a relief! It also has a heavy base, so it won't be moving around when my cat rubs against it. And it's reasonably priced. Obviously, I highly recommend this lamp. I think it would work well for sewing, jigsaw puzzles, drafting and any other activity that requires bright light. So glad I bought it!

The perfect lamp for embroidery!
I love this lamp! It's sturdy and was very easy to assemble. The light it provides is fantastic! I do embroidery and my eyesight is not the best anymore. This lamp gives me the perfect light to work by, and it doesn't even have to hang right over my work the way my old lamp did (which I would always knock with my hand by accident as I'm doing the stitching). This lamp provides lots of light up above me and I don't have to fuss with adjusting the head to position it just right as I did with the old one. The adjustable light brightness is also a great feature. I haven't used the colors yet, but I find it an intriguing feature. One of the best things about the lamp (to me, anyway) is that the controls are at the perfect height to reach from your seat, so you can turn it on or off or adjust the brightness without any effort. I'm looking forward to working my embroidery projects and reading with this lamp. I would recommend it to anyone needing a good light for those kinds of activities.

If you are looking for a task light to do puzzles, look no more! This is a great light and has different strengths, settings for different types of light (cool, warm, etc.) and it's just fabulous. We do a lot of puzzles and had to move our puzzle board into the dining room where the lighting just wasn't as good. But this light has made it possible to do puzzles even at night in that room. Highly recommend and super easy to put together. Adjustable and easy to move around the puzzle also. Love, love, love this lighting and I hardly ever go online and write reviews.
