Is that real gingerbread?
You might think the above question was asked by an elderly relative but, no, it came from friend in her 30s. I have begun collecting a lot of the Lego Expert series, especially the Winter Village and Christmas-themed kits. I was always a fan of Lego, but now that the company has expanded the range of brick shapes and sizes, I feel no shame in going back to this old (and some would say childish) habit. This is one of the most beautiful kits Lego has produced to date. Whimsical and wonderful don't begin to describe this lovely kit. Lego fans already expect a hefty price and this is no exception. But it has lots of parts and is quite intricate and detailed. The house has two stories. The first floor has a kitchen and living room. The second floor has a bathroom (with toilet!) and a bedroom with a bed and a crib. Yes, this house is inhabited by Minifigure Ginger People and their baby is printed on a 1x2 cap plate. There's a whole lot of extras as well which make this not only an art piece but a functional doll house. By the way, the finished model is open-backed as opposed to, say, the Bistro kit which has 3 stories accessible by opening the roof and lifting the second floor off its fasteners. What makes all Lego kits supremely wonderful is that if you get tired of looking at them or playing with them, you can take them apart and store them easily. And, of course, you can repurpose any of the parts to any original project you want since EVERYTHING in Lego is compatible, even from the older kits - like 50-years-old and more! If you have them, of course.

Truth, I’m a 67 year old female and I am having the best time building this Gingerbread House! I’m retired and need to keep busy. I found this Lego set and thought why not give it a try. I love it! There are very detailed instructions that take you step by step. It’s easy enough for someone that has never had the Lego experience but challenging enough to keep you interested. It’s still in progress but I’m already checking out the Christmas Village to add to the set. Buy it for yourself or buy it for a gift, you can’t go wrong with Legos!

That it is a quality product that my grandchildren will enjoy
My grandson and I put this together and really enjoyed doing so. I appreciated the fact that all the little individual pieces were together and there was a separate book for them. That way I could work on the house while my grandson age 7 could build all the other pieces. The end result was really cute.

Wonderful gift
My grandson had been very sick. I sent this to him to cheer him up. He was really eager to get out of bed and start on it. He was thrilled with the product and really helped his mood to improve. It as exactly as advertised and had easy to follow directions.
