This Pro Photog was Impressed
Pro photographer here: Dye sub printers used to cost a FORTUNE back when digital photography started. They were totally out of reach for most casual photographers. They are way better than inkjet for a couple of reasons. You don't have to deal with clogs. This printer can sit in a drawer for a year after using it and will work perfectly when you pull it out. No head cleaning needed. Another crucial benefit is they are far more archival than inkjet printers. You should be able to enjoy these hard prints for generations. I was missing not having more hard prints around the house and wanted to make an old-school physical photo album of my family now that my last kid is getting ready to leave for college. So I asked for a photo album for Christmas and now I am filling the 4x6 slots up with these prints. They are SO easy to make. Very little color correction was needed. Once i see how they are printing, I can take a little bit of that color out of the picture before I print it. It tended to print a little on the yellow side, but that was an easy, quick adjustment. For the most part, it prints the same as what you see on your phone or monitor. You can also choose to print in black and white and they look nice. Other things I LOVE about this little guy is, it's a a little guy! The printer isn't much bigger than a 4x6 print. The printer itself is impossibly light and portable, which means it would be great at a party, wedding or traveling in general. It connects through local wifi, which is good and bad. It means you won't be printing off your normal wifi connection or by Bluetooth. You will need to disconnect from the internet wifi an connect to the local printer-specific wifi signal being put out by the printer. You can also print via a corded connection if you prefer and need your computer to stay connected to the internet. The cool thing about it is, you don't NEED a wifi internet connection to use that feature. That means if your party/wedding is in the boonies and there is no internet, or you are in an RV in the middle of nowhere, you can connect your phone/computer wirelessly to the printer and make a print on the spot! Very cool. I just bit the bullet and got the package that included the extra ink film and photo paper all at once so I could do a big job. No regrets at all. I will definitely use all this paper up no problem. It's good to know since there are no clogged ink heads, I haven't had to reprint a single image. So there is way less waste. Don't print all the time? It's fine. it's so small, you can put this printer in any drawer in your house and store it like you would a deck of cards. It's not quite that small, but not far off. Another reason it would be great in an RV. The biggest concern I had when I bought this was I had never heard the name of the printer company before. Let me set you mind at ease. This thing works flawlessly. I'm super impressed.

Amazing home photo printer!
I have had this for 6 months now and I absolutely love it! Great photo quality and easy printing. You definitely have to use the app, I tried printing without the app and photos came out grainy and discolored. With the app, they are clear and crisp with accurate coloring! It does take about a minute for each photo to print, but you can set the queue in the app and just walk away and let it do its thing for a while. I probably wouldn't print more than 20 photos at a time without checking it just to make sure it's not overheating. Very pleased with this!

I take a lot of photos, but printing professional, frame-worthy images can be expensive. This kit is easy to use and comes with everything you need. There are faster printer in this format, but they cost much more. Once tou get used to the color science of the printer vs what you see on a computer screen, you can sell high quality photos at events.

Excellent personal printer!
Excellent print quality and there is no better personal printer! It takes about one minute per picture to print, so not as effective for larger events...but it held up and can be used in a pinch! Just have lots of extra media on hand!
