I'm really liking this paperwhite
I have a Kindle Fire 8 and use it a lot. I was wondering if the paperwhite would be easier on my eyes than the glossy screen on the Fire. It turns out that the Paperwhite has a very soft matt finish, which keeps the room light from shining off of the screen and into my eyes. I have not tried this out in the sun yet. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I can change the font to the smallest size and read it with no problems or distortion. The brightness needed to be turned up some, but the results are beautiful to my eyes and comfortable for them as well. This turned out to be a great purchase and getting the refurbished model saved me a bit of cash that can be used to buy a few more books. That is a win/win in my book.

I’ve stored HUNDREDS of books on this device, and it still has over 23 gb left to fill, It’s my new best friend. I’ve only needed to charge it once since getting it. One hundred percent user friendly and I recommend using the Collection option to put series together, authors, or just books you’d read over and over again. Perfect to read for 5 minutes between customers at work or several hours after you’re off, (this is a judgement free zone) this kindle is perfect for everyone wanting a little break from the day. I had resisted. It was futile.
Theoretically this is a tool to help me declutter. Hah. I am still buying "real" books at the same pace. Anyhoo, this gadget really handy to have so as to carry a number of books with me, and is really nice to have at bedtime as it serves as both book and reading light all in one, plus I have dropped it on my nose as I was dozing and am unhurt.
