Unexpected quality--paper, binding, cover, etc.
I've not been writing in journal-type notebooks for very long, but this one stands out as a great bargain. The cover is a full 8.5" x 11" and the paper is just 1/8" smaller in both dimensions. The inside covers are nicely glued. The binding is strong and lays flat. I like the paper quality (smooth and substantial) but more importantly so do my pens. Extra-fine and fine nibs (Korean and German nibs) with the regular ink I use show very little bleed-through and little shadowing (see pics). The 8mm ruling seems perfect for the size of my writing. Five stars all the way.

Very high quality notebook!
This is actually a really high quality notebook and so good for the page/price ratio. I use my Pilot Kakuno on the pages and the ghosting, feathering, and ink seeping through is almost nonexistent. I even spilled some of my ink on one of the pages and there was no ink seeping through the other side. Beautiful notebook with a pocket as well.

Pleasantly surprised how good the quality of this was for the low price. The paper quality is even better than I expected and it has a nice pocket in the back. Durable, functional and high recommended. Will be purchasing other others,
