I was traveling with my dog on a trip and needed an extra bag. I was going to buy a other regular suitcase to check but then I saw a pet bag can either count as a carry on OR a personal item. I had assumed his bag counted as a carry on and I brought my purse as a carry on but after reading that I decided to get a travel backpack instead. This is great, I can fit a couple of changes of clothes in the main compartment and some toiletries. I put my Crocs in the roomy outside pocket. I only wear a size 6.5 shoe and there was room to go bigger but a man's size might not fit. The back panel (next to the backpack straps) is flat and good for laptops, kindles, and other small or flat electronics. Finally there is a zipper pocket on the back part that sits on the small of your back that is suitable for things like ID m/passport. I have a small flat zipper clutch that fits in there perfectly that I keep my travel documents and a small amount of cash in. Since it's a backpack it will take the place of a personal item and you can still bring a carry on item. I used a small padlock to keep the main compartment closed but I had to go through the zipper holes. I would have liked holes specifically for the lock. I wanted to security it because unlike a purse this was sitting on my back so I can't see it

Perfect "personal/carry" on bag!
Absolutely loved this bag! Used it for our recent trip to Cancun and if it wouldn't have been for a week long trip I would have only taken this and a carry on. It stores so much, comfortable to wear, and has several places for storage. Was able to snag when on sale so I would say price point was great.

Perfect travel bag. So many compartments and really does hold a lot. Very comfortable straps that are padded and has a padded section for electronic device. Love this bag!! This size is great for a female as it fits back just right and is not too bulky. And absolutely love the soft green!

Handsome & Functional backpack
Excellent backpack for overnight trip or as carry-on luggage for airline flight. Roomy and well constructed with many pockets. I used it to carry a heavy load for a 2-day trip. I especially appreciated the padded shoulder straps and the chest buckle.
