I actually got this for my 5-year-old son to use at his little desk, and it is the perfect size for a younger child. The bear-ear design is adorable and makes it feel a lot more fun than a standard office chair. Even though it is cute, the quality is very impressive. The wide 4-claw metal base makes it extremely stable, which is a big relief since I don't have to worry about it tipping over if he wiggles around while drawing or playing. It was very easy to put together with just one person. The height adjustment is a great feature because it allows the stool to grow with him. We have it set at the lowest point right now so his feet can almost touch the floor, but we can easily raise it up as he gets taller. It has solid back support for him. The seat and backrest are surprisingly spacious and have deep padding, so he stays comfortable even when he is sitting there for a while. There is even a small storage slot on the back where he likes to keep his favorite markers or a small toy. It swivels 360 degrees very smoothly and quietly, which is nice because it doesn't scratch the floors or make a distracting racket. The durability seems solid enough to handle a high-energy kid, and the materials are easy to wipe down if he accidentally gets some craft supplies on it. It is a really practical and sturdy chair that adds a lot of personality to his room.
