Amended to excellent
This worked fine after dying it a few times. Seemed to have woken up. This does not work as it should. I bought this as a set with the Kindle Signature Edition and wasted my money. It only charges the Kindle to 23% no matter what. My Kindle came fully charge so I only put it on the Dock to see if he charging light would come on It did so I didn't think more about it. 1st time putting in dock only went to 23%. Charged with cable. When Kindle was at 50% I put on Dock and it didn't show any increase in 8 hours. So, past the return window and useless. YMMV but just beware.

This charger works great for my Kindle color and my kindle paperwhite too. So much more handy to use, just set it in and it starts charging with no messy cords to keep hanging around all the time. I bought 2 so I can keep one in my bedroom and one in the front room.
