Cute, Compact, and Surprisingly Strategic
The learning curve was a little steep at first. We had to watch a 20 minute YouTube video to get the hang of it, but once we did, it turned out to be pretty easy to play and surprisingly strategic. I really liked the "I split, you choose" part. It makes each game feel fresh and keeps things interesting. The board is super cute and compact, so it's great for travel. Plus, the game board is double sided, which adds a nice bit of variety.

Really good small 2-player game
What's great? Rolling dice then doing an "I split you choose" every turn; the small dry-erase board for a sort of area control battle; the balance between scoring opportunities. It's just a fun little game that allows you to get as deep as you wish but is also just fun to play. A small box game from a master designer. One of my two favorite games for 2-players published in 2023 (along with Faraway).
