Customer reviews

Attractive and useful; glad I got it.
When I retired I figured I was done using things like business backpacks – ‘business’ anything, for that matter! 😆 But when I saw this backpack it occurred to me that I still travel a lot, I still carry a backpack, and I still take a laptop or a tablet with me when I do. It turns out I still have many of the same travel requirements, so I ordered this backpack, and it’s quickly turned into one of my favorite travel bags. It's described as ‘super organized,’ and it definitely is. It has two main compartments and, by my count, eighteen pockets inside and out, for everything from a laptop or tablet to phones, notebooks, e-book readers, and other small tech gear. And for old-school guys like me, it has smaller pockets for pens and yes, a small notepad – the paper kind; I still use ‘em. On the ‘newer tech’ side, it has two USB ports on the outside of the bag; inside the bag, two cables run to these ports. Plug a charger into the USB ports on the outside of the bag and you can charge things inside the bag. There’s even a tiny pocket on one of the backpack straps. I don’t know what that one’s for; it’s very tiny, and it doesn’t fasten, so it seems like anything you put in it could fall out. But it’s there, so it counts as a pocket! Finally, the bag has an outside water-bottle pocket. Very convenient. Also very convenient: there are three ways to carry the bag. It has backpack straps and two handles: one at the top, and also another on the side in case you want to carry the bag sideways, like a briefcase. One of the things I like about it is that although it’s described as spacious, it’s not ‘hiking backpack spacious.’ At a little over a foot wide, just under eight inches deep, and almost-but-not-quite nineteen inches tall it’s a great size to lay flat under the seat in front of you if you’re flying. The bag is made of a 600D fabric that feels very tough; in fact the whole bag feels tough. It’s sturdy, well-made – the stitching is clean and neat – and it feels substantial and durable. I think this backpack will last a long time. The standout features of this bag for me are its many storage pockets and its durability. I also think it’s a great size, and the USB ports are pretty cool too. All in all I think this is a five-star bag; I recommend it.

Excellent quality business bag. Great design
Very nice business backpack. Excellent quality. Very well designed. They didn’t miss a beat designing this backpack. It’s very compact in its shape but it has ample space for everything you might need, numerous interior pockets, zippered pockets, Velcro pockets, open pockets, a couple thin pockets for your pencils or your pens. There is a large felt lined pocket for your 15 inch laptop. The back of the backpack has thick padding for comfort. It’s got a breathable cushion that rests up against your back. There’s also a hidden zippered pocket back there. The shoulder straps are nicely padded and adjustable and there is a chest buckle so you can really secure this backpack tightly onto you if you like. There’s a USB-C and a standard USB port on the exterior of the backpack that is wired inside for you to plug in your own power bank. It makes it convenient to plug your devices in to the side of the bag and not have to remove your power bank from your backpack. I like this feature. I also like that there is not only a handle on top of the backpack which is a very comfortable padded handle, but there’s also a handle on the side allowing you to carry the backpack as if it were a briefcase. And because of the shape of the backpack, it carries very well sideways as a briefcase style bag. And there’s even a side pocket in the front of the bag that becomes a functional top pocket when you carry the bag briefcase style. So you can easily slip your papers or your tablet down into that pocket when you’re using the bag briefcase style. I really like that feature. The stitching is all invisible. There are no visible seams. It’s very well-made. Overall, this is an excellent backpack/business briefcase. It looks great and it is extremely functional in it’s design. I think the quality for the price is excellent.

Mark Ryden Does it Again!
As a longtime Mark Ryden fan on my second backpack from the brand, I had high expectations — and this one largely delivers. My first was a hardshell designed for everyday work travel, and while this bag takes a different approach, it matches that same level of elegance and style while offering significantly more room. The product photos show a crisp, pristine bag, and the design absolutely lives up to that — with one disappointment: mine arrived with noticeable creases from shipping. They've faded some over time, but it's worth knowing upfront if presentation matters to you on arrival. Once you get past that, the functionality is excellent. The main compartment comfortably fits a MacBook Pro, iPad, and Kindle without feeling cramped. The organizational pockets are thoughtfully laid out — perfect for chargers, cables, portable drives, and the usual everyday essentials. I also frequently toss in a light jacket or hoodie, and there's still room to spare. Two standout features worth highlighting: the discreet back pocket, ideal for a passport or wallet while traveling, and the built-in USB port for on-the-go charging (note: battery pack not included). Both feel like genuinely practical additions rather than gimmicks. My electronics feel well-protected, everything has a place, and it's become my default travel bag. Shipping wrinkles aside, this is a well-designed backpack that earns its price. Highly recommended.

Intentional Design, classy and subdued.
Men get all the best backpacks—and this one proves it. This is roomy and strategically designed. You can tell this backpack wasn’t just thrown together, it was engineered for real life. Let’s start with versatility: It works as both a sleek briefcase and a functional backpack. The clean, professional look (classic black, no flashy logos or weird bling) means it fits into an office environment without screaming “student.” And when the day’s over, and you’ve got to walk home, just sling it on your back. But here’s the genius: There’s a front clip strap that distributes weight perfectly. No more looking like a turtle tipping over from a top-heavy bag. The strap actually hits where it should, keeping things balanced and clean. The side pockets? Total game-changers. Zippered and sized for full folders or notebooks, they’re easily accessible depending on how you’re carrying the bag. Briefcase mode? They become part of your outer organizer. Backpack mode? You can still reach them without awkward contortion. Add in the USB and USB-C charging ports, a keyholder (yes please), and a padded laptop compartment that fits even a 17.3", and this bag becomes a serious contender for anyone commuting, working, or traveling.
