Great End of Year Tradition
I read this story with my 4th Graders on Monday of the last week of school. It served as a great conversation starter for all of the amazing memories that we shared as a classroom family throughout the school year. I then showed them our own classroom memory jar (a large mason jar) & invited each of them to add a small object, drawing, or written memory. Every morning throughout that last week I had students share what object, picture, or story they brought in & tell us what it meant to them. I plan to make this a yearly tradition & told this year’s students that whenever they come & visit our classroom, we can look through our memory jar together.

End of Year Favorite!
Such a great book for the end of the year! I teach 1st grade and it’s such a great way to think about holding onto our memories. And by the end of it, the kids easily get the message!
