Very impressed by the quality, actually usable for fun kid science projects!
I have 2 children (9yo and a 6yo) and didn't have a microscope yet so I thought this set would be interesting for them to play with. I wasn't expecting a quality device since I purchased it as a toy, but I was actually impressed by the quality and usability of this digital microscope for kids! [+] Design: The form factor is perfect for kids and super easy to use. You can detach it from the base to explore items "on the field", however I will say that using the stand is almost a requirement if you want to hold the microscope steady and precisely adjust the distance from the object using the side wheel. [+] Screen/image quality: you often get a subpar digital screen on toys, but this microscope has a screen good enough to let you truly see the details on tiny organic items. It has a powerful LED lamp that illuminates what you place under it without the need for external lighting. [+] The 5 sample slides provided are fun for kids to start playing with the microscope right out of the box. My kids were pretty amazed at the ant, something they know very well but usually don't get to observe this close! [+] The battery has lasted 4 play sessions (approx 30-40min total) so far without losing a bar, giving me the initial impression of a pretty good battery life! I love that it is rechargeable via USB-C, no AA or AAA batteries required!! Overall this is an excellent STEM accessory for kids, very well built and functional. It advertises up to x800 zoom, which is not as high as some other microscopes out there that advertise 1800x, but it is enough for kids to observe everyday items like insects, food, fabrics, etc.

Unbelievable clarity and focus.
This phone microscope captures unbelievable detail! It's easy to use, all the mechanical parts are very smooth, and it's a sturdy gadget. You do have to be practically touching anything you want to see clearly, so it's not really ideal for photographing live insects or things of that nature, unless you have an unusually cooperative subject, but man, everything i have captured has been a breeze. My image uploads speakfor themselves-- the one of the underside of a spider, which isn't as sharp as the rest, was captured their m through a not- exceptionally- transparent deli cup. Easy point and shoot, as soon as you're in range, everything focuses automatically. For the money, I can't imagine anything better. Granted, I've never had the opportunity to use high end, expensive equipment, but the quality of this legit gadget and the images it can capture are far superior to anything I've used before.

My 4-year-old niece loves this microscope. She found it easy to use and enjoyed finding things around the yard to take a closer look at. The screen is very clear and allows her to zoom in with ease. The SD card and feature to hook up to a lap top really transform this beyond a small tool with limited visual impact. The portable feature of the microscope is very unique and useful too! It let her explore so much more than the slides it came with. I am happy to say this is plenty sturdy too as it surely hit the ground more than once. I would definitely recommend this microscope! I have wanted to introduce high quality toys that can be enjoyable and educational. One day she just may be using a lab-quality microscope to help save the world!

Don’t let this kid friendly microscope fool you into believing that it’s just for kids. It takes great pictures and videos. The 32gb card included has plenty of room for storing pictures and videos. You can use its platform for viewing the slides included or for any item that you can place on it. I used it to show the kids what a penny looks like under the microscope. I was very impressed with the digital optics. It’s a great item to use on a rainy day for the kids, it could be used all the time to see things on a microscope.
