Incredible Value

If you go into this with realistic expectations, you’ll probably be very happy with this projector. At the discounted price of around $129, it’s honestly an incredible value. Once you add a Fire Stick, it’s hard to find a better media setup for that kind of money. Setup was quick and the auto keystone/auto focus work surprisingly well. We specifically avoided the ultra-tiny projectors because we needed something that could sit on our nightstands and still project at a slight angle. This one hits a nice middle ground — small enough for a nightstand, but not so small that you need a tripod perfectly centered on the wall. I’ll admit I’m a bit of a TV snob, but my wife and I needed something that wouldn’t stick far off the wall because there’s a narrow walkway at the foot of our bed. A decent 55” QLED would run $500–800, and OLED would easily be $1200+. This solved that problem for a fraction of the cost. Now for the expectations part. Is this OLED quality? Not even close. Is the picture as good as a modern budget TV? Also no. But it is immersive and offers a lot of flexibility for around $130. In a dark room at night or early in the morning, I have no problem watching it — even as someone who normally nitpicks picture quality. I haven’t measured it yet, but from about 10 feet away it looks like it’s projecting roughly an 85–95 inch screen, which makes movies and sports feel pretty immersive. Where it struggles is in bright rooms. I wouldn’t recommend this for a living room or daytime viewing without blackout curtains. The image gets pretty washed out with lights on or shades open. For us, though, it works perfectly because we only use the bedroom TV at night or early morning. I could also see this being great for family movie nights or creating a fun “theater-like” experience for kids or grandkids. It could even work outdoors if you have the right setup. The built-in audio is probably the weakest part, but that’s expected from such a small unit. We had better luck pairing the Fire Stick to a Bluetooth speaker and just tossing it on the bed. That sounded much better than using the projector’s built-in speakers. Important Fire Stick tip: If you want the Fire Stick remote to control power and volume, the setup can be confusing. When the Fire Stick asks for your TV brand, “Xuan Pad” isn’t listed. After about 30 minutes of Googling and digging through Reddit and YouTube, I figured out that you should select “Smart TV” or something like that. Once we did that, the Fire Stick remote controlled everything and we didn’t need the projector remote anymore. Now we’ve got a solid little projector with access to every streaming app, plus TiviMate which I use to watch multiple things at once. This setup is going to be awesome for March Madness. Pros • Excellent value • Easy setup with good auto keystone and autofocus • Huge screen size (roughly 85–95” from ~10 ft) • Very flexible placement compared to tiny projectors • Works great with a Fire Stick Cons • Not the best in bright rooms/day watching • Built-in audio is weak, but Bluetooth function from the projector or firestick easily fix this Bottom line: If you’re expecting OLED-level picture quality, this shouldn’t be your main TV. But if you want an inexpensive way to get a huge screen and a fun viewing experience in a bedroom, basement, or occasional movie setup, this is one of the best values I’ve come across.

Awesome space saver

We chose not to install a TV in our bedroom to preserve space and stop me from “bed rotting” 😆 (I love my bedroom), and this projector has been an effective alternative. Setup was simple and straightforward. The image quality is clear and sharp; however, projection quality can be affected by the flatness of the surface. Our walls have some patched areas, but overall picture quality remains very, very good and crisp. I customized the picture settings (sharpness, contrast, ect.) instead of going with a preset option and I’m really happy with the result. The built in sound quality is acceptable but not amazing, id give it a 6/7 out of 10 for our needs. Connecting to Netflix and YouTube was easy, and streaming worked without issues. We primarily use it to project ambient scenes, such as fantasy window visuals with nature sounds for relaxing or naps, but it also performs well for watching TV shows when needed. Adjusting the projected screen during initial setup is also very easy. Each corner and the tilt can be fine tuned to align the image perfectly. The projector saves these settings, and on subsequent use it automatically focuses when powered on. In my humble opinion, this is definitely a high quality mini projector and I would absolutely recommend this to friends and family. It’s worth spending the extra money for the quality and the extra features.

The real portable projector that every student needs.

I needed a portable projector for movies. This XuanPad mini projector is very convenient. I don’t need any other devices to stream or play any entertainment’s contents because it came with major entertainment applications pre-installed. It has Netflix, Amazon prime, YouTube and even web browser. You just have to connect to your home WiFi or mobile hotspot to get access internet. It comes with a remote control that is zero lagged. I conveniently connected to a Bluetooth speaker for the sound system. The auto focus is very good. It will adjust even when pointing from angles. The image is as sharp as regular TV. The price is very reasonable for the quality that produces. Gone is play contents from computer through HDMI cable even though the port came with it because you can air play and screen cast. You can still connect through HDMI if you prefer. It has one such cable come with it for free. Basically, you just need this XuanPad projector and a Bluetooth speaker and internet connection. It will work on any type of wall to show the picture.

Excellent Projector

Love this projector! It automatically adjusts to the area you are trying to project on, making set up extremely easy. The screen is very large from a short distance, easily covering a wall or the entire ceiling. Love that it is compatible with Youtube, Netflix, and Prime. We use it for gaming as well (we have a Nintendo Switch). The picture quality is excellent. There is a built in speaker or you can connect to an audio device (we use bluetooth). Not sure why anyone would pay more for a projector, this one seems to do it all and doesn't sacrifice quality. I very highly recommend this product.
