Nice feeder and many squirrels tried but NONE got in it!
I had my doubts about this feeder, but I figured I would give it a try. I am glad I did. First it is a great size feeder holding a great amount of seed but even better is that there has been about 20 squirrel's that have tried to get at this feeder and even the ones that sit on the deck railing and reach up do not get at the seed. The feeder is attached to a pole next to my deck and the bottom of the feeder is about 15 inches higher than the top deck railing. The squirrel's will either reach up and grab the bottom which then closes the openings of the seed ports OR the squirrels will climb on top of the feeder which then closes the seed ports. The songbirds love the feeder and are always on it (That is more due to the type of seed then the feeder) but every time the squirrel's go to it, they fail. I have had the feeder up for about two months and have yet to see a single squirrel get at any seed. Also, I can go sometimes 3 days before needing to add seed to it since it holds over 4 lbs. of seed. Great feeder but keep in mind that if there is anything next to the feed that will allow a squirrel to sit or hang on without putting their weight on the feeder itself then you will run the risk of a squirrel reaching at the seed ports and being able to eat the seed. My feed is hanging above my deck rail so the squirrels will either have to reach up (about 15") at the feeder or climb down on top of the feeder. Either situations will make the weight of the squirrel pull down or press down on the feeder which then closes the seed ports.

Bird Feeder
LOVE LOVE this bird feeder! I have bought a lot of bird feeders, some have said they are squirrel proof and I still get those squirrels that find their way into the bird feeders and end up leaving nothing for the birds. When I got this, I have to say, was sure the squirrels would find their way into it. I put the bird food in it and hung it up and just waited to see what would happen. I am happy to say that I watched the squirrels climb up the shepherd's hook it was on, try to hang on it and it went down to close the feeding holes just like it said it would do. The squirrels were pretty confused but they gave up on it and got down. They periodically come up the hook and try to get at the food, but it won't let them get it. This is the first and only bird feeder I have had that it said it was squirrel proof and it is! Am thinking about getting another one soon! Good job on making a bird feeder that is actually working for the birds!!!

A feeder that actually stops the squirrels!!
I’ve been trying to find a squirrel-proof bird feeder for about 5 years, and this is the first one that has TRULY prevented the squirrels from getting the food!! All my other feeders are empty within 2-3 days because the squirrels figure them out. This feeder has been out for 2 weeks and still has food in it!! I think I will be replacing my others with more of these!

Birds enjoy it.
Large seed capacity. Easy to fill. Birds enjoy the feeder. Squirrels don’t try anymore. Looks good. Well constructed. These are 3 years old. Still working well Only down side, the metal strand cable frays after a year, so I taped the cable. Otherwise the frayed strands will cut your fingers.
