Incredible value.
I like to aim it at the ceiling, to lighten the room. As such, I wish it were brighter—for my purposes, significantly brighter (although there's nothing close to this price-range which is bright than this). Don't get me wrong--I like things BRIGHT. My wife would not want it any brighter, and I have to turn it down in the evening in order to please her. There are a number of things I especially like about it: 1. In the daytime, especially morning, I like to use it's very white, almost slightly bluish white, light at its brightest setting, because white (and especially the blue light contained in true white light) helps to awake your mind and make it alert. 2. Conversely, in the evening, I like to use its opposite setting, almost absent of the blue (which makes light appear white), such that it looks like a medium wattage incandescent light—like 40-60 watt lightbulb, because it gets your brain ready for bed. Too much blue light in the evening can make sleeping more difficult. 3. I like the full variability of the light settings from bright to dim, and from bluish-white to yellowish-white (incandescent-type yellow, NOT lemon-yellow—probably something like 3000°K instead of perhaps 6000°K for the over-white—almost bluish white light)—you can put it anywhere in between these shades of white and dim to bright light. It would be nice to go a little dimmer once others go to bed, and I barely need a little light, but that’s not a big deal. 4. The goose-neck—when I turn it down on something, THEN the brilliance is great—such as if I need to see something crisp detail. It’s amazing to me to have all this and a remote for the price!

Quality and better than I thought it would be!
I added a vanity dressing table to my bedroom & the lighting in my room was just not working out for the placement for this furniture. I need better light to do the makeup/hair & girly stuff. I purchased this floor lamp and have it behind the vanity with the light fixture over hanging the vanitymirror! EXCELLENT IDEA, I might add! The floor lamp is steady and not wobbly-cheap. The ability to flex the lamp is solid! Lamp does not get hot! The remote control is a fabulous idea -especaily for the way I have this lamp placed. Love it! If I find another reason to need a floor lamp, I'll buy another one of these!

This is an excellent, well-designed floor lamp. It has several settings from a warm, orange glow to bright natural daylight. The brightness can be controlled on the lamp itself or via a handy, easy-to-use remote control that works with two AAA batteries. It's a tall 76'' in height, and the neck can be turned, so you don't have to worry about being blinded by the light bulb. Construction seems sturdy and it's an excellent value at under $30. Buy it! I might buy another. Update: I bought a second lamp. They're both fantastic additions to the rooms!

Great light no glare very bright great for working on puzzles
If I could give this light more stars I absolutely would! I have tried SO many lights and finally this one works for my needs. Sturdy, very bright, they are different settings as well and all without the glare, looks nice and is the right size to light up the table & puzzle with absolutely no glare. To assemble was a little tricky, but it's worth it great light, thinking about buying another one.
