Split it up! AM/PM Skincare Set
4.5 stars. At first glance, I was honestly a little confused about why these particular products were grouped together in one 5-piece set. Four of the five products contain fairly active ingredients (Vitamin C, Retinol, and AHA/BHA exfoliants). I understand it's all to target dullness, dark spots, and fine lines but it's probably not a skincare set you use together in a routine every single day. I think splitting between AM/PM is where this kit can be optimized. Once I looked at it as an AM/PM system, it made a lot more sense. ~ So in the morning (AM), I like using the Essential-C Cleanser - gets my day started and smells really refreshing. Not drying at all! The Rapid Dark Spot serum fits nicely here too since Vitamin C pairs well with sunscreen and helps target discoloration and environmental damage. The standout for me is the Nutrient-Charged Water Gel. It has a lovely scent, feels bouncy and lightweight, and does a great job locking in hydration without feeling heavy. I have dry skin so of course it's a fav. At night (PM) I switch to either my nighttime cleanser or the Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating cleanser a couple of times per week max. The Retinol Youth Renewal serum is definitely a PM product and is the one I'd reach for to help soften my fine lines. Then I follow with my other toner and moisturizer again. ~ I think this works best as a bare bone travel-sized AM/PM skincare kit rather than a strict step-by-step routine. Everything is geared toward improving dullness, uneven tone, and signs of aging, but you'll get better results by alternating products rather than layering all the actives together. My only real complaint is that the Water Gel is the product I enjoyed most, and it's also the one I'm likely to run out of first. I wish that one had been a little larger, it's adorably itty bitty. ~ The travel bag is really cute too! Soft velvety texture with the most beautiful green, looks fancy. Only thing is the logo backend from the inside looks a little cheapy.

This is the perfect introduction to the Murad line that just transforms skin from dull to glowing. First, the bag: so soft! I adore it! Love it for travel! And, the AHA/BHA cleanser? This is my favorite in a pack of favorites! At first, I felt this silky lather, but then I felt these micro "scrubbies"! This cleaner feels incredible but is also gentle. And, it rinses pretty quickly! I follow this up with the water gel (the tiny jar). Now, here, go light. I went a little too heavy the first time and it "balled up" a bit on my neck. So, I went lighter on my face and it seemed like this nourishing treat! Nice! The Essential C Cleanser is also crazy good! It is clear, lathers like a dream, and rinses in seconds. Follow that with the serum. This is perfect if you are brand new to retinoids. Or, if you use prescription retinoids, this is really good for your neck and the backs of your hands. It is a tan color, has a light and powdery fragrance, and disappears into skin in seconds. Over time, your skin will be softer and more radiant. Once you try these, you are going to want the full-sized versions! Love all of these products! Wow!

A product that lives up to expectation
I had never tried Murad but heard great things about their products. So I ordered the travel package. I am so pleased. I have been using this for about to weeks now and have already seen an improvement. I have a few dark spots that are already fading. Yay. These are quality products . A little pricey but no More tan than what you would pay at dept stores. Try this treat for your skin!
