A handsome and useful reading lamp
This is a fantastic over the shoulder, reading light! I've parked it at one end of my loveseat for cosy reading times. It has a very classic look but could fit in with just about any decor. The brass finish has a lovely, smooth look, that should not scratch or get dented easily. It was very well protected and shipping with no dings before installation. The base is fantastic. It's very heavy and grounding for the lamp so it's not easy to tip over. I love the dimming feature, which, rather than just a few settings is a fading dim with a hold-down touch contril. The light colour is not too white or sharp, but definitely bright enough for reading fine print. The adjustable head also allows tilting away, easily one less light is needed, and more when the book has itty-bitty words. I've had the lamp on for two hours now, and placing my hand directly against the glass under the bulb. It is barely warm to the touch. So this is not generating heat or a cause for heat hazard. Installation took me all of 11 minutes from opening the box to turning the light on. no tools required. The threaded segments are all metal to metal which tends to hold and last very well. Keep a careful eye out for the small brass bar that is attached to the lampshade for adjustment, it's tucked into the plastic bag with the paper instructions. I have only just received it yesterday, but all is looking really great. Will share updates if anything changes.

Light and luxe!
This is so much better than I imagined! Especially at this price point. It is a near match for one bought at a design store, like an Amber Interiors or similar. Some knock offs have been too small or way to large to have that Ralph Lauren look. This however is that perfect smaller, but not too small, size. The dim feature, adjustable hight, brightness, and covered bulb are just spot on perfect. If on the fence, buy this one. Be sure review all the measurements. My spouse was suprised by the size of the light cover. He thought it would be larger.

Ordered the O'Bright floor lamp to replace a very much older lamp that broke. The model I preferred was the brushed nickel and it's a beauty. It arrived well-packed and in good condition. With simple instructions, I assembled and set it up in about 10 minutes. I really like the positioning of the on/off switch and the dimmer control. A very nice item at a good price.
