This set of melamine dishes is absolutely DARLING. They remind me of something I’ve seen at a high end home store. The designs on the plates are absolutely adorable and the lip along the edge helps food stay in place if you’re using these for a casual bbq or buffet style meal. I love how the plates stack neatly as well. I can’t say the same for the bowls- if anything the bowls are my least favorite part of the set. They swivel around when stacked and they are pretty shallow, plus the design is not as cute although it complements the rest of the set. I alllllmost took off a star for the bowls but the whole set is just too cute and I couldn’t bring myself to do it. These are dishwasher safe but not advised for the microwave. That’s true of most melamine dinnerware but do your own due diligence and decide how you feel about it! I ran these through a dishwasher cycle and the came out looking great. They do have more of a matte/non glossy finish which hopefully makes them less likely to show scratches. I ordered these in both the set of 8 and the set of 6! I think both are priced appropriately. We have a large family that lives nearby- the cost of this dinnerware for a casual service for 14 is amazing! Can’t wait to host, and excited to pair these with our crisp white and organic color ceramic serve ware pieces.
