All around amazing projector!

The ordering and delivery were on point. The packaging was safe, and the device was well-protected, arriving in perfect condition. At first, I was concerned that there was an issue with the bulb, as the startup was a bit slow, but I soon realized it was just part of the initialization process. Otherwise, the unboxing was simple, and the onboarding was perfect. It looks like it might have been easier if I had an Android phone and not an iPhone, but that aside, it was very easy to get it up and running. The autofocus feature was very cool to watch in action, and the menus were easy to access with straightforward on-screen navigation. The initial setup screens helped me get connected to my accounts, which added some cool features right out of the box. The built-in stand allowed me to easily test this on walls, ceilings, and wherever I wanted to. I tested it in a well-lit room, projecting the picture onto the vaulted ceiling, and honestly, it was a lot of fun to be able to lay back and watch content on the ceiling! The menus and contrast are a little hard to see in an overlit room, but honestly, that was my only concern, and it's a non-issue in a darker environment. The natural colors were vivid, and the picture quality is truly HD. The borders and lighting contrast are perfectly represented, and even when watching racing cars and fight scenes, the action is crisp, clear, and perfect. The built-in audio is fantastic—the best I have ever experienced from any projector. That is saying a lot. I was able to connect my laptop via HDMI, and other input options include the built-in Android TV and USB. I was also able to connect to it using Google Cast through my signed account, which is a cool additional feature. The Wi-Fi connectivity was intuitive and connected immediately and every time I restarted the machine. Bluetooth connections to multiple speakers and my home stereo were solid and had no audio delays. You can barely hear this thing, and it runs pretty cool. Since it has multiple options for input, the menus are extensive but easy to navigate with the full control of the paired remote. This projector has so many extras; I am looking forward to playing around with it for a long time to come. Overall, I would recommend this projector for anyone looking for a great standalone and portable device that you can stream from multiple built-in apps like YouTube, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, and you can always add more from the Google Play Store. It can be mounted, but this device is so easy to move around, and the built-in mount allows you to aim and adjust to almost any surface and from various distances. I even used my cell phone as a hotspot and projected a movie onto my garage door at night using the AC power from my car. This was a fun experiment that proved that if you have cell service, you can stream videos anywhere.

ALMOST hit it out of the park.

So this is the third Jimveo/Sovboi projector that I’ve purchased. Maybe I have a problem, but I love these products and support is fantastic. The first one I purchased in early 2023 (Jimveo E30) was a little underpowered (800 ANSI Lumens, and minimal functionality with a very dated UI and cumbersome UX, but it was a good start; I loved my little projector. A few years later, I gave this one to my daughter for her new apartment, so I needed a replacement one for home. In the summer of 2025, I purchased the second one (Sovboi E30Max) which had massive improvements in features, functionality, and user interface. It was brighter (1500 ANSI Lumens), clearer, and had awesome auto keystoning and auto focus. The UI and UX were a marked improvement and much more modern. I really liked that it had an ethernet port in case I wanted to stream faster than WiFi. It seems to get dusty on the lens more easily. It took quite a while to boot up, and It wasn’t very portable, really, but it is still well mounted on my ceiling with minimal keystoning. My family thoroughly enjoys watching thru this one. A few weeks ago, I purchased this newest model (S61 Pro). I am really enjoying using it in a variety of environments and uses. There are some definite pros and cons that I’ll lay out here. Pros: very portable with an articulating stand much more powerful built in speakers for audio when portable very robust audio quality great use of Google TV projects on the ceiling very well much brighter than previous models, 2500 ANSI Lumens powerful and upgraded WiFi and Bluetooth great use of Google assistant quiet; new fan design and/or placement Cons: DESPERATELY needs the auto focus that the last one had, the position of the focus style on the screen makes it very difficult to tell if you are focusing or going too far I don’t know if the CPU is underpowered or perhaps more memory is needed but the android Google TV operating system is incredibly slow. it struggles to Keystone; frankly the previous Sovboi had much better keystone and trapezoid functionality has no ethernet port To be completely honest if they took the firmware (UI/UX) from the previous projector and put it on this one, they would have a ROCKSTAR. The new/unique features, especially the way it can be tilted, the massively improved audio quality, the fact that it is much brighter… Basically it has huge hardware improvements but the software needs an update.

I recently got my hands on the Sovbio outdoor projector, and I have to say, it has completely transformed my movie nights! One of the standout features for me is the built-in Google TV. Using Google Assistant is a game-changer. Instead of scrolling through endless menus or typing with the remote, I just press a button and ask for what I want to watch. It finds my shows instantly, making everything so effortless. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase. The picture quality in 4K is fantastic, and the ability to customize user accounts makes it perfect for family movie nights. If you’re looking for a reliable projector that offers tons of content and easy navigation, I highly recommend the Sovbio!

A very quality projector with great picture + sound + automatic AI features!

• Projector: Compact, light, and noise level from fan is low and non-intrusive • Setup: Initial setup was easy and menu driven. Here is where you select language, locale, WiFi connection, etc. • Picture: The projection quality is very good. Bright 4K image with very good color (see video) • Sound: Audio is clear, but I preferred to use the Bluetooth capability to connect to a larger more capable Bose soundbar. There is no perceptible delay in the Bluetooth audio which is good. • Focus: The focus can be fine-tuned from the remote. The superimposed focus calibration image makes the sharpest focus easy to obtain. • Image Zoom: This feature allows flexibility with regard to physical distance from the projection screen. You can zoom in and out to fit image to screen. • Screen share: I was able to easily screen share from my Android phone (see video) • Remote display: I setup an extended remote display from Windows 11 PC. (see video) • Overall: This is a great projector for the money. Highly recommend.
