Great for beginner mixologists
I bought this inexpensive shaker because I wanted to start mixing drinks for my use and my friends. I’ve never mixed a drink before so I didn’t wanna spend a lot of money getting the equipment. There is a strainer in the neck of the shaker and the removable top also serves as a measuring cup. I think it’s of good quality. It’s NOT insulated so your hands will get cold when shaking. I used a hand towel just in case the top came off like it was mentioned in other reviews. The cap has a measure so you don’t need a jigger or shot glass. Easy to use but you absolutely NEED to use BOTH HANDS to shake it because it’s designed to come apart easily for placing ingredients and cleaning it. The components just fits together, not a screw top! Excellent value for a beginner mixologist.

Cocktails were successfully shaken, no stirring was needed
Cocktails were shaken, not stirred. What else is there to say? For those that complain the top pops off when you put it on, they are putting the filter and cap/jigger on together, which causes a build up of air pressure inside and the lid pops off. To be fair, the lid pops off instead of air leaking around the seal, so you know the seal is water-tight. Here is how to avoid this situation: 1. Leave the cap/jigger off. 2. Put the filter on and push it down so the seal locks. 3. Put the cap/jigger on. 4. Shake like you're James Bond
