Top-Notch Nib At A Great Price
I saw someone review this new Kakuno fountain pen on Youtube. Its smooth, opaque pink case and golden nib enticed me. As an avid fountain pen user, I knew Pilot fountain pens to be relable and to write with the thinnest lines -- for a fine nib. This pen did not disappoint. As soon as it was delivered, I quickly flushed out the pen with lukewarm water using one of my own pilot converters (not included with this purchase). I highly recommend a quick initial flush, as some fountain pen manufactuers test their products with ink before selling them. I inked it up with Noodlers' Ink's Bay State Cranberry --a rich, deep fuscia-hued ink that could withstand a fine nib's narrow ways and still maintain its intended color (but softer). As soon as I pressed this svelte pen onto my journal's crisp, thin Tamoe River pages, the ink glided smoothly onto the page. No hard stops. No need to prime it. It wrote immediately, with a soft, hint of feedback --which I love. Each line was as promised, a beautiful, thin fine line. My hand gripped the pen easily and did not get tired, while I wrote with it. I recommend you try this pen. It might seem more expensive than the average Pilot Kakuno fountain pen. But its glistening gold nib and opaque case makes this one unique, and a cut above the rest.

Great pen and so so cute
I love Kakuno pens so much. The quality is amazing for the price point. They feel great in the hand despite the larger size and are so aesthetically pleasing. I purchased this one as a gift to a friend who was becoming interested in fountain pens. They make great introduction pens alongside being so cute. I loved the pink and gold combo and my friend did too :) I really like the ink that comes in the cartridges with these. Being plastic, they are light in the hand but it doesn’t really bother me. I will always recommend these to any beginners, the quality is great, the ink is great, they’re adorable, and you can always buy converters if you want to throw another ink in

Good product!
The color shown in the image is wrong - you will receive the brown, almost purple looking one you were expecting at this price. I've been using other ones by the same brand at work for a few months now, and it's become my preferred pen. Replacing the pre-filled cartridges is easy and typically mess free. I have two of them that see daily use, and have had no issues. They still write smoothly.
