Writes beautifully, best with wet inks
The wrong picture is attached to the listing, because both the description and the product I received have a <CM> cursive or stub nib, not the round nib that appears on the photo. I see how that might cause some confusion. The pen writes smoothly, it works very well even on regular notebook paper, but do take into account that stub or cursive nibs have a learning curve and you might feel it scraping or dragging on the page if it's your first time using this type of nib. But even so, it is not difficult to get used to. This is a dry pen so it works best with a wet ink. I've had completely different experiences using Pilot Iroshizuku (wet) vs. various Diamine colours (dry).

Best Bang for your Buck!
It's a good starter pen, if you're entering the wonderful world of fountain pens. I'm a pen snob, and other pens weren't cutting it anymore! That's when I discovered my "new high" in my addictions, and that is a FOUNTAIN PEN! (Not to toot my own horn, BUT....) I've been told I have very pretty penmanship AND this pen adds such personality, to my unique way of writing! Love it, it's in my favorite color and it has a good weighted feel in my hand!

Ahhhh, Fountain Pens!
A wonderful pen at a modest price. The stub is flat, wider than a broad nib and slightly rounded on the corners so no sharp corners. Up and down strokes are broader and side strokes more narrow. Adds a flare to handwriting and shows off pretty inks. Try herbin violette pensee (comes in a wee bottle to try) in the ink bladder included.

Love the Stub!
I love the stub nib, and really thought it would just be a bold nib. It is closer to a calligraphy style nib in shape, which is fine for me, I use them as well. This is my go to pen when writing cards. I love it and look forward to using my other inks.
