Precisely what I was looking for

Perfect for 8.5x11 borderless photos using HP Premium Plus photo paper. For me, it was easier to just take album apart and then add the photos to the top loading page protectors. Even works well if the photos are laminated. If using laminated photos, ensure the lamination is trimmed to almost the very edges of the photos or else they will not fit. Much easier to insert laminated photos (8.5 x 11) while the album is apart. Note that I have a mixture, so extra extension posts (included with Pioneer RW85 Postbound Top Loading Page Protectors) might be necessary depending on thickness. Also, as a point of reference, the white page insert thickness is much less than that of HP Premium Plus photo paper which is 80 lb. So far I have 50 8.5 x 11 photos in the album and the covers lay nice and flat. I don't see any reason it would not lay flat with more photos provided you have the proper number of extension posts and are not trying to add more of the RW85 page protectors without extending the posts. There is an optimum post size based on how many photos and how many spacers. Best to keep it all snug but not super tight (extension posts too short). The album comes with a thick clear plastic protector which covers the entire outside of the album as well as the top and the bottom covers. This is a high quality album that looks good and is robust enough to handle without the fear of it falling apart. I am very satisfied!

Excellent starter scrapbook...

I choose this rating because it was what I expected and for the half price I paid about a month ago, even better than anticipated. The fabric is a type of canvas over very sturdy cardboard & is casual looking... perfect for a starter scrapbook & any theme. It comes with 10 page protectors with 10 white paper inserts which can be used to print digital images. I create digital scrapbook pages (I'm a fan of hybrid scrapbooking) and this book is perfect for my needs. I'm not keen on postbound books until I found the Pioneer Snapload Conversion Kit on Amazon. For the price I paid for the kit & the book, the cost was about the same as the regularly priced book. The book still lays flat with the conversion kit assembled. It took a bit of doing to get it assembled but not as difficult as assembling posts. It still will allow for expansion like the book itself with the extra fabric at the back to expand the spine as your book grows. The dust jacket is a plus, if you choose not to discard it to protect your book. However, in the future I would likely purchase the Pioneer Snapload or 3 ring books instead. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a simple scrapbook that comes in many nice fabric colors.

LOVE IT!

I saw a lot of negative feedback about this item, but it is exactly what I wanted. The book comes with a plastic cover that can be removed if you prefer. The red is vivid and gorgeous. I have not added pages yet, but it appears to work as one would expect. I did not use the white pages that are located in each plastic sheet because I wanted to use my own, BUT...the paper I received is thick and could easily be used to write on or which to glue photos. Now, having said all of that, this book will not work for a very large scrapbook with lots of thick entries. When my book is completed, it will only have 15-20 plastic pages in it. It should be great for that amount. Should the increased number of pages make the back spine look "funky," there is included a piece of the red cover material to fit onto the brads and hide the problem.

I bought this to use as a sticker book for the many stickers I've collected and it is just right for this. I can fit a lot of stickers on each page, and it's great to be able to keep and display them in one place.
