Easy to learn and play, some luck, lots of fun!
As long as you can match picture to picture, you can play this game. Basic addition is helpful too for scoring, but even a young kid could use a calculator worst case. No knowledge of golf is necessary but the golf theme is fun and like golf, the lowest score at the end of 9 rounds wins. The game tin and instructions explain the game easily so even non-gamers can play and enjoy as it's quick to pick up. There's even an app for the game (the game includes a link to find it in the Google play or apple store) so you can play with people near or far. Gameplay: You are dealt 8 cards face down. Without looking, you arrange them (still face down) in a tableau of 2 rows of 4 cards and the deck goes in the middle of the table with the first card face up in a discard pile next to the deck. To begin, each player turns over 2 cards in their tableau. The goal is to make as many matches as possible BUT to match, you have to have the card on your top row match the card directly under it on your bottom row. If you do, the pair is a match and scores zero points. You may draw from the stack (or discard stack) and discard a face down card, draw from the deck or discard and swap it for a face up card which you then discard, or discard the draw and flip up one of your face down cards. Then play passes the next player. Once you have only one card left face down, you can pick up a draw card and discard and pass or grab from the discard and replace a face up card instead of flipping your last card... But once a player flips their last face down card, it triggers the end of the round and everyone has one last turn to get their score as low as possible. That ends the round and then play continues for 9 rounds total. You can play shorter games too if needed. Some other scoring of interest: hole in one cards, even without a match are -5 points and if you have two of the same matching pairs on your tableau, you score -10 points. Lots of luck involved but still a fun time for players of all ages.

One of my favorite games!
I absolutely love this game. Not possible for me to recommend it more. Don't have to play all "9 holes", can just go until you want, rounds are pretty fast when you get the hang of it. -Moderately simple to learn, taught kids as young as 11/12 -I learned the original on a deck of cards, this has more options, more strategy, chances to come back from a loss, etc -The cards are regular quality and have funny little golf ball dudes on them -The negative five(-5) card can be a game changer -8 of each card except for -5, so you can actually get a -20 on a perfect hand(impossible!) -Comes with pencil(which i lost) and a fairly generous score card that has sum rows after each hand to keep the math easy :) -I think it says up to 6 players but you *CAN* play with more no problems Worth every penny. Bought this the instant I saw it and you should too!

Great game!
A super fun card game for all ages! I was able to even teach my 7 and 8 year old and we are able to play as a family. The rounds go pretty quickly and there are 9 rounds in total. The entire game probably takes my family of 4 at least 30 minutes maybe longer but the younger ones sometimes take a lot of time to decide their move. This is fun to also play on game night with the adult neighbors, literally anyone can learn and play!

Really Fun Game - Easy to Learn AND Stays Interesting
Great for kids through senior citizens! I’m 59 and love this game. I introduced it to some older folks who picked up quickly on how to play. Don’t let the ease of understanding fool you though - it’s a competitive, fast, strategic game that holds its interest! Great for 2 or more players (up to six if I remember correctly).
