I never had a set of oil based colored pencils and I thought I’d try this set to see what they’re like. I found that they do not smudge at all on the paper, which pleased me greatly. They come in every color I ever wanted. They remind me much of wax based colored pencils in the way they feel. They are bold and bright from the first stroke, but also allow for soft blends. The carry case is fantastic! I took some paint and wrote “OIL” on the outside because there is no indication otherwise. I was happy to fill the sample chart provided with each of the 120 pencils. LOL. It was fun and I can really see what each color looks like, since the differences between some colors are slight. WOW I will never be at a loss for a color I need.

Beautiful colors for a great price!
First off, I love that this set comes in a pre-organized binder, with each color numbered, and a test sheet to allow for each color to be displayed by its number, which makes for easy color selection while using them. I was pleasantly surprised that this also came with a small sketch book, as well as another with tan and black paper. I tested some of the lighter colors on those pages and they show up beautifully! The colors are vibrant and smooth, and blend wonderfully with a blending pencil or burnisher. I think the only downside is just that they do get used up fairly quickly, if you're using one color for a large area, but I think that's just a part of using soft core pencils. I'm so glad I got these!

These work great! I bought them so my children ages ranging between 4-6yrs can practice using their hands more. We are practicing writing but I wanted them to use their hands in a fun and relaxing way. So I thought coloring but then I had to pick, WHICH ONE?! There are so many options out there. That being said I'm so happy I got this set. The colors are sturdy and firm (they haven't broken one yet) and the quality of the formula is easily blendable and smooth. I love it as well as them. It's travel friendly and you can take it wherever they go. Perfect for any occasion! Totally recommend and mama approved!
