They seem to hold charge well and are loud enough but not too much so! They are comfortable, lightweight and connected easily to the kindle! Can't speak to long term quality but so far they survived my 3 year old who has thrown them at least a few times! They aren't too big but are roomy enough for an adult. They charge with any regular C type charger so if anything happens to the original cord, your phone charger will work just fine!
