Good Questions for Christian Couples or Christian Study Groups!
I was honored to receive from the publisher an advance copy of Emily Jordan's QUESTIONS FOR CHRISTIAN COUPLES JOURNAL. Many of the subjects clearly are referring to couples, such as bringing Christ intentionally into the relationship, (Ephesians 4: 12). Some are more fun-like, for example spending a million-dollar inheritance together. Other subjects, however, would be excellent for group discussions as well, such as, (Luke 8: 50), Jesus telling a man that his child will be healed. Emily asks, "Have you ever witnessed Christ's healing or even a miracle? Do you believe miracles still happen today?" Some questions are extremely thought provoking - Matthew 6: 8, stating that God knows what we need before we ask Him. "If God knows what we need, what do you think is the purpose of prayer?" Emily asks. I've been blessed with a marriage of many years. I can look back and wish we had spent more time and effort in family prayer and less on work and school schedules. (Emily says, "Write about something that might need to change priority levels in your heart.") I read the book straight through, finding it interesting and insightful. Emily displays unusual thoughtfulness and compassion toward the human condition. Both THE BLENDED FAMILY DEVOTIONAL FOR COUPLES and QUESTIONS FOR CHRISTIAN COUPLES JOURNAL are worthwhile studies. I can't wait to discover Emily's third book whenever it appears!

EASY, FUN, GREAT BONDING TIME, and you get to LEAVE A LEGACY for your kids/grandkids
I was gifted a copy of this book before its official release date, and let me tell you, I am so glad I got one. Admittedly, I am not sure I would ever go seeking something like this, but if you have found your way to this book and my review, I say GO FOR IT!!! You won't regret it. I love this journal for so many reasons. 1) IT IS EASY. There are no chapters to read ahead of time. It is just hundreds of questions for you and your spouse. You can leave it at the kitchen table and ask while eating dinner. Some questions are even fun to get your children's responses on. 2) IT IS FUN. After nearly 7 years of marriage, it has been FUN to dive into some of these questions. As a result of the questions, my husband and I may talk about fun things from our past or even dream of our future together. 3) BONDING TIME. It really is just great bonding time. Some days we get stuck in the routine of life and may be zapped of our brain cells by the end of the day. These questions give you something to talk about that doesn't revolve around work, kids schedules or routines. 4) LEGACY. This book will serve as an awesome keepsake for your children and grandchildren to look back on one day. Buy it today!! you won't regret it!

Unexpected & Heartfelt
My husband and I couldn't have received this at a better time. Just 2 weeks before our wedding we started going through this journal together. I was elated how excited my now husband is to grab a pen and take turns journaling our thoughts on the prompts. Sometimes we read the question out loud together and each answer and takes notes, other times we keep our journaling a surprise for the other to read and then we discuss together. I love how the variety sparks so many different kinds of connection and we always have fun doing it. Having a faith base in our marriage is so important to us, but I can see how this book could be great for even new or curious believers because of the wide variety it covers. You can tell this author has a heart for couples and I can't wait to see what else she comes up with!
