Great craftsmanship and attention to detail.
I'll simply start by saying this bag is absolutely worth it for the price, and has an attention to detail that I have not seen in other bags in this price range. My usual go-tos for travel are an Osprey hiking pack or a Travelpro/Cotopaxi combo for quick weekend excursions. When I got this RAINS Duffel bag, I wasn't expecting quite the bag I received - I expected less. Every fit and finish on this bag is exquisite and perfectly detailed. I actually think this may be the best craftsmanship of any of the bags I have ever received. The poly coating on the outside is wonderfully smooth and great to the touch, the bag looks incredible, and there's absolutely no errors in manufacturing or thread cleanup that I can find on this thing. The layout and finishes are well-thought-out and has room for all of my stuff, but isn't too big that it's just ostentatious. And the zipper. Wow, do I love the zipper on this thing. It's just an incredibly smooth actuation (is that even a phrase you use for zippers?) It just feels awesome and secure. Overall, this bag completely exceeded my already high expectations and I am genuinely surprised that they're only selling it at this price point.

Worth the expense
This is a substantially nicer bag than anything else I have owned of the type. In fact, I can't think of any bag I've owned that can easily convert from a vertical carry on/gym bag to a duffle to a backpack without any real effort. It is nearly 3 lbs. which is indicative of the wear and tear this is designed to endure. The smooth outer rainproof material is extremely tough and thick and the handles while nylon are thick and sewn very well to the bag. I can see myself using this from anything for a hotel stay to camping to using for my heavier guitar fx pedals/boards/cables because I don't have a gig bag this durable or waterproof. While I realize the price is on the high side, it's designed to last for years and environments you wouldn't think of bringing a typical gym bag or duffel. Also just as a bonus it's a very cool looking/feeling material; almost has a soft suede feel without the raised texture.

I am extremely happy with this travel duffel. I ordered the small size and it works great for a weekend trip. The materials and construction is fantastic. It may me a little on the pricy side, but you more than get what you pay for in the quality of the duffel. GREAT FIND.
